35.

next is: What place in this world can have their temperatures Fahrenheit and Celsius equal?

F = 1.8C + 32
F = 1.8F + 32
F - 1.8F = 32
-0.8F = 32
F = -40.
cold places with temperature -40 degrees.

Cold places, -40

Your correct about the degrees part and wow you used your maths skills :-\
But the Q says "What place" hopefully i dont confuse anyone indeed

I have been in colder weather in Alaska. There are numerous countries where the temperature can get lower than -40.

Well this is the Answer i got

F = 1.8C + 32
x = 1.8x + 32
x - 1.8x = 1.8x + 32 - 1.8x
-0.8x = 32
-8x = 320
-x = 40
x = -40
The only place that might be -40 degrees cold must be Anartica.

Its the same calculation...as I did....M4L, you may ask the next question. I dont have any questions to ask...not even silly ones....

Well okay you are kind of correct coz i have no idea what you wrote

heres the "Real" answer:

1/2x +1/2(1/2x + 1/2(1/2x +1/2(1/2x + ... = y
If x = 1,
then the equation likes this:
1/2 +1/2(1/2 + 1/2(1/2 +1/2(1/2 + ... = y
1/2 +1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + 1/32 + ... = y
y = 1 = x
y = x

And i have no idea what that means or says either :-\ i guess its always hard for people like me :-\

It is perhaps wrong. Can you do it assuming x = 5....?
