it means the person who supplicant or asking for forgiveness soo hardly, this word was mention in the Quran to describe prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) if I am not mistaken

in the first case it was a noun though

Eekk..I really wish I could bro but it comes from Waahid..I think it means unity...Could you tell me based on guesswork? :$
 
:hmm: i think it refers more to the Oneness of Allah but it could be used for unity

JazakAllah khayr. Its just that I saw a piece of grafitti and in English it said Unity and then wahdaniyah so was just wondering

Wahdaniyah وحدانية , comes from (wāhid) one,(wahhada) which means "To make something one, or to assert the oneness of something."

In Islam Wahdaniyah ,not only means Oneness of God in the sense of the existence of a single and absolute truth that transcends the world; a unique and indivisible being, but also Oneness of The Worship of Allah ...




the word could be also used with other contexts :

وحدانية السلطة العامة
the oneness of general authority
