If it makes it any easier, here's the text (in Arabic) of what the Bro wants translated:

Wow cool thanks brother, have you gotthe whole poem?

And also, sis could you write the arabic for me with the harakat or in english letters if I want to say:

'I am phoning from English, I do not know arabic but just wanted to hear your voice' lol. <<<thats asap please.

يقول راجي الصمد بن علي أحمد
Raji As-Samad bin Ali Ahmed said
حمداً لمن هداني بالنطق والبيان
Thanks to the one who has guided me with a statement has excellent prononciation
وأشرف الصلاة من واهب الصِِلاة
And the best of prayers from the one who deserves all prayers
على النبي الهادي وآله الأمجاد
on the guiding prophet and his glorious family
وبعد فالكلام لحسنه أقسا
And after that his words were divided into groups (Raji As-Samad bin Ali Ahmed)
والقول ذو فنون في الجد والمجون
And his words are about the serious and immoral people

^some of it i'll finish the rest later inshallah :)

Err.. sister never mind me asking, but are you an Arab American or someone who learned Arabic after childhood?
I just find Arabic or any foreign language very difficult to grasp.:exhausted

Arab American

though english is my first language
i'm horribe in speaking arabic compared to the rest of my family

its not hard to learn if u have the will :)

I think so too and it's because I teach myself! But then there's no formal Arabic language course in where I live.

I meant in a different way brother, but also what you just mentioned. But how do you try learn? Learn the alphabet first or what? Do you listen to Arabic often, not just Qur'an but like speech/talks and so forth?

Aana ukhabur min Beruطaania (I don't know Arabic word for England, they usually just say Britain).

Jazakumullahu khayr

Jazakumullahu khayr
Wa iyyakum.

I learned the alphabets and can read (or recite) Quran with tajweed alhamdulillaah even though some Surahs or Ayats cause trouble. I listen to Arabic few times a week, in PalTalk duroos by the Arabic-speaking Scholars and also few Jumuah khutbahs from masjid al-haraam. That's where I mainly learn few words and useful phrases from!

I hardly understand any word they are saying but listening to Arabic feels great! :thumbs_up

The problem is when I try learning it through grammar lessons and without the harakahs. Coz I don't really remember the English grammar, as in what is indefinite verb, etc. so it's like me going back to school days and revise my English grammar FIRST before learning Arabic by making references from English grammar. And that's a big turn-off!

Anyway, jazakAllah for your reply akhee. InshaAllaah I shall try harder.
