I'm a new admin, don't really do too much admin work or anything.

But for the other 19 staff members... Masha'Allah. I don't think anyone can see what they do without actually reading the staff rooms, etc. They don't get paid, but invest hours and hours on the forum to preserve its sanctity. Alhamdulillah Masha'Allah, I came to the forum as an admin last Thursday and I didn't have to touch one post or thread or anything! On TOP of that, I was very nervous for the first Radio show, and an SM had recorded my radio show without me saying anything.

My point is, if you ever talk to a Mod or Admin, BE SURE TO THANK THEM! :D

And of course, every member deserves a pat on the back. It's ultimately the members that make a COMMUNITY forum.

:rollseyes To be honest, even from my two or three days being here, I gotta admit that, that is quite typical. LOL

16/10/09- Forum restored to October 5 2009.

People’s reaction when the first knew the news.

There are those crying because they are no longer full members and they don’t they powers the used to have. And examples of them are:

Omar_21:30: How come I'm 'limited' member again (Puts hands of his face and goes and cry in the corner)

Mr.President: allahu akbar my posts also reduced !!! (Its okay at least you’re not alone)

Malaak:where have my 500 or so reps gone?:raging: and my 70 or so posts? :raging:
this is soooooooo annoying!! :heated:(Oh I know how you feel)

Crazy-Lady: And there was a certain member who acted like reps and posts doesn’t matter but she was dying inside her every time she sees her rep points. But weren't we all? (Buh come onnn, just be greatful LI is back! =) And it ain't all about posts/reps :X We come here to learn and help each other)

Danah: I think I shall learn from this harsh lesson to save all my important PMs in my computer (Wow good you learned a lesson even if it was from a harsh lesson. I think we should all learn a lesson too)

Forum has gone back to October the 5th

The Database Crashed due to some issues meaning it was difficult to restore the data back - totally corrupted the data - pretty serious too

Since there are Daily, weekly and monthly backups, the problem was not discovered until after a few days which meant the daily backup data was corrupted and so was the weekly backup data corrupted - the only option we could go back to was the monthly back up taken on the 4/5th October of this month (Quite lucky alhumdulillah that we had that monthly backup or else it would have been disastrous)

Took a total of 36hours to restore the Entire forum back pretty hard work not that easy but its all back up alhumdulillah!

Unfortunately any data wont be able to be restored

Yanoorah: Moment of silence for all the posts n reps we lost

....so we all took a 2 minute silence for all the reps, posts and PMs we lost..

Okay. That was a tough 36 hours... Jazax for hanging in there peeps.

I think we should all neg rep this admin or he should give us reps instead. What you all say?
