considering leaving

assalamu alaikum brothers and or sisters
im here to ask a question, if you saw the title im already planning to talk to a sheikh but with how stubborn i know i am idk if it will work
im having doubts and my faith has gotten to an all time low and im considering leaving however in the off chance that i come back will i be forgiven for that?
not planning to join a different religion so far most likely is still islam just doubtful now is all

I’m sorry you’re going through this. Thank you for being honest about something so personal. Having doubts and questions doesn’t make you a bad person, and you don’t have to solve everything today.

I’m glad you’re planning to speak with a sheikh—please try to find someone patient and understanding, who will listen rather than judge or pressure you. If you’re comfortable, you can also tell us what questions or experiences have led you to feel this way.

As for whether you could be forgiven if you left and later returned: Allah’s mercy is greater than our mistakes, and returning sincerely is always something to hope for.

None of us should claim to know the final judgment of a particular person, but you should not assume that your door to Allah is closed.

Take things one step at a time, and don’t make a permanent decision while you’re distressed.

Hello brother!
I came across something very encouraging today, which may certainly answer your questions:

Surah 48: 1 - 5
Verily We have granted thee a
manifest Victory:

That Allah may forgive thee thy faults of the past and those to follow;
fulfil His favour to thee; and guide
thee on the Straight Way;

And that Allah may help thee with powerful help.

He is the One who sent down peace
and reassurance into the believers’
hearts so they could grow stronger in faith.

He will admit believing men and
women into gardens beneath which
rivers flow, to dwell there forever, and forgive their sins; that is a great
triumph.

Notice it says faults of the future to follow! Allhamdulillah!!!
