Saturday يوم السبت

*Ibn Umar (رضي الله عنه ) reported:

The Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said,

"Observe part of the [Nawafil (voluntary)] Salat (prayers) in your homes. Do not turn your homes into graves.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Commentary:*"Observe part of the Salat (prayers) in your homes'' here means Nawafil and Sunnah. The houses in which Nawafil are not performed are like graveyards. Such houses are like graves which have no scope for action and worship and are thus deprived of their reward, which is a great deprivation indeed.

Sunday يوم الأحد

Amr bin Shu'aib narrated from his father who narrates from his grandfather رضي الله عنه , that the Messenger of Allah صلي الله عليه وسلم said:

"There are two traits, whoever has them in him, Allah writes him down as grateful and patient. And whoever does not have them, Allah does not write him down as grateful, nor patient.

Whoever looks to one above him for his religion, and follows him in it, and whoever looks to one who is below him in worldly matters, and praises Allah for the blessings He has favored him with, then Allah writes him down as grateful and patient.

And whoever looks to one who is below him for his religion, and looks to one who is above him for worldly matters, and grieves over what missed him of it, Allah does not write him down as grateful nor as patient."(ترمذي)

Tuesday يوم الثلاثاء

Abdullah bin Salam رضي الله عنه said:

“When the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed to meet him, and it was said:

‘The Messenger of Allah صلي الله عليه وسلم has come!
The Messenger of Allah صلي الله عليه وسلم has come!
The Messenger of Allah صلي الله عليه وسلم has come!’ Three times.

I came with the people to see him, and when I saw his face clearly, I knew that his face was not the face of a liar.

The first thing I heard him say was when he said:

‘O people!

---Spread (the greeting of) Salam,
---feed others,
---uphold the ties of kinship,
---and pray during the night when people are sleeping,

and you will enter Paradise with Salam(ease, peace) .”*

Thursday يوم الخميس

Hadhrat Anas (رضي الله عنه) reports that

Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said:

“When a person offers his Salaah on its prescribed time with proper wudhu, and fulfils all the postures in the correct manner (i.e. his qiyaam, ruku’, sajdah, etc) with the desired concentration and devotion, then the Salaah rises up in a bright and beautiful form saying to him, ‘May Allah Ta’ala safeguard you as you have safeguarded me.’

On the other hand, if a person does not perform his Salaah punctually, nor does he perform a proper wudhu or fulfil his postures in the correct manner, then the Salaah rises up in an ugly and dark form and curses him saying, ‘May Allah Ta’ala destroy you as you have destroyed me.’

The Salaah then rises to the point where Allah Ta’ala wishes, and thereafter it is folded like a dirty rag and flung on his face.”(طبراني)
