*Hani رضي الله عنه , the freed slave of ‘Uthman رضي الله عنه narrates

That when ‘Uthman رضي الله عنه stood by a grave he would weep until his tears wet his beard.

So, he was asked: “When Jannah and Hell are mentioned, you do not weep, but (why do) you weep at this (sight of the grave)?”

So he replied: “Indeed, Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

Verily, the grave is the first stage among the stages of the Hereafter; if one is saved from (the Punishment of) it then what is to follow will be easier. And if one does not find safety from it, then what is to follow shall be more severe than it.”

And Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“I have not seen a sight more horrifying than (the punishment of) the grave.” (Tirmidhi)

The poor Emigrants came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: "The wealthy have gone with the highest ranks and lasting bliss." He asked: "How is that?" They replied: "They offer Salat (prayer) as we offer it; they observe fast as we do; (and as they are wealthy) they perform Hajj and 'Umrah, and go for Jihad, and they spend in charity but we cannot, and they free the slaves but we are unable to do so."

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Shall I not teach you something with which you may overtake those who surpassed you and with which you will surpass those who will come after you? None will excel you unless he who does which you do." They said: "Yes, please do, O Messenger of Allah"

He (ﷺ) said, "You should recite: Subhanallah (Allah is free from imperfection), Allahu akbar (Allah is Greatest), Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) 33 times after each Salat."

[Bukhari and Muslim]

Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her), the Mother of the Believers, reported:

The Prophet (ﷺ) came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy in performing the Fajr prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me sitting there. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Are you still in the same position as I left you." I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the Prophet said, "I recited 4 words 3 times after I had left you. If these are to be weighed against all you have recited since morning, these will be heavier. These are: Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, `adada khalqihi, wa rida nafsihi, wa zinatah `arshihi, wa midada kalimatihi. [Sahih Muslim]

Hadhrat Abu Sa’eed Khudri (رضي الله عنه) reports

That Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said:

“Whichever Muslim makes duaa to Allah Ta’ala and supplicates to Him, and his duaa does not contain any sin (i.e. asking for anything which is impermissible) or the severance of family ties, Allah Ta’ala will grant him one of three things.

--- Either He will grant him what he had asked for (in this world),

--- Or He will keep the reward of the duaa for him in the Aakhirah,

--- Or He will avert a calamity from him.”

The Sahaabah (رضي الله عنهم) said: “In that case, we will engage in abundant duaa.”

Rasulullah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) replied:

“Allah Ta’ala is more than everything (i.e. His power and treasures are more than what* you ask for).”(احمد )

How weighty should the scales of this great Sahabi be? Allahu Akbar!

May Allah Ta'ala honour Sayyadina Abu Bakr RadiAllahu and all the 124000 Sahaba as he deems fit.... AMEEN

We were sitting with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when a man stood to leave. Another man spoke badly about him after he left, so the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said, “Pick your teeth.”

The man said,

“O Messenger of Allah, why should I pick my teeth when I have not eaten meat?”

The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said,

“You have eaten the flesh of your brother.”

Wednesday يوم الأربعاء

Ibn Abbaas رضي الله عنهما narrates :

When Rasulullaah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) once passed by two graves, he said,

“The people in these two graves are being punished for acts that do not seem serious.

---The one is being punished for not guarding against urine splashing on him

---and the other for carrying tales.”
[Bukhaari 218]

This Hadith proves that the punishment in the grave is true and that people will start receiving punishment already in their graves for their sins.
