Did Jesus (p) Deny Being God?

nimrod, all the different quran book versions had the same meaning. No man ever added anything to the quran!

Peace:

What exactly do you mean "all the different quran book versions"? There is only one version...The Holy Qur'an.

Hana

Folks, there have been some good questions asked of the Christians folks by the Muslim folks on this thread.

I have been frustrated in my attempts to answer some of those questions (I set the first brick inplace yesterday to disarm some of the sources of those frustrations), as I am sure the Muslim folks have been as well.

This thread needs a different approach if we are ever to understand each other's beliefs.

That different approach should be strongly focused on this:

I will try my best to avoid the "well you are wrong because the Qur'an/Bible (Take your pick) say's" such and such.

Anyone with me?

Thanks
Nimrod

I agree with you. As a Muslim, I don't believe everything in the bible so quoting from it is useless, and vice versa for a muslim using arguments with Qur'an verses. Discussions should be based on logic and what our understandings are, regardless of how limited or excellent our knowledge may be. However, there are also times when quoting verses is necessary to show why we are applying that logic. But, I agree, saying, "Because my holy book says so" is not enough to be convincing. :)

I agree 100% yesterday I saw 2 questions and I was thinking about us asking questions to one another.. it then lead me to think about why are we asking these questions to learn something or to try to disprove someone.

Peace PrIM3:

Well, I think part of respectful discussions includes offering differing "evidences" to try to prove points or statements. However, once a discussion turns bitter or angry, it's time to end it as both sides would be too focused on being "right" and become defensive. At that point, it's best to end the discussion. :)

Hana_Aku, I agree scripture should and will be needed to be quoted.
I see nothing counter productive about that.

What I do see as counter productive is all of the "well your wrong because".

Personally I think there should be a new thread started.

I am working toward that direction already. I can start a new thread or someone else can.

I would like to offer the suggestion that it be titled something like "What do you believe?".

Thanks
Nimrod

Oh, I like that idea. More like a way to learn what others believe compared to ourselves and why.

It's a good idea. Looking forward to participating. :)

some of my muslim friends have told me that Jesus(PBUH) was thought to be the son of God 400years after his death in christianity. And that the jewish new that fact so they denied jesus. If you ask me, if Jesus was truly the son of god then it should of been written in Tura,Bible, and the Quran in a clear Fact.
