:sl: brothers and sisters,

I just wish to ask you all to make sincere dua for my nanny.
She is seriously ill...I didnt wish to tell you this but....she has T.B (tuberclosis). *bursts out in tears*

She has always been there for me. She was there when mommy had to go to work and I was left to be looked after.
She has always taught me to be a strong person and to keep smiling no matter what life throws at me!

Today, I've found out that she could have gone into a comma (last night). My life wil not be worth living if she leaves me. She is toooo precious.
She is more than a nanny....she has taken the place of my mother and father. I have shared secrets with her, secrets Ive not been able to share with my own mother.

She has always sed to me...that all she wants from me is to: 'wear the white coat.' Basically, to become a doctor. 'Make people smile Raiyhana, make people's lives worthwhile...and get rid of all these diseases that cause pain.'

For someone so precious to say that and then to know deep down that she may not live for long enough is more than....heartbreaking!!

She is my life ppl.....all this hard work at college is for her. If she leaves me....Ill be a no one!!!!
Ive heard that God likes to have the best frut for his garden....but Im not ready to loose nanny yet. I never will!

Allah ma3akum

I know many of us aim to please either our parents or other family relatives, and we see ourselves striving to please them. However our ultimate goal should be to strive to please Allah. And if we wish to please someone, we do it for the sake of Allah. That way, if we suffer a loss of any sort, we can reassure ourselves, Allah is still there, and our actions will not go un-rewarded.

An adi'ya request of my own: Please make du'aa that my university assignments go well, and also my wife's visa application gets processed with minimal difficulty.

Jazakallah khair.

Ameen to the dua.JazakAllah brother Far7an.:)

Yes, brother. That is what my aim has been; to make her happy. She has always made me happy when I was young, even now. The last time I saw her (a week ago), she was knitting me a jumper for me, I told her not to but she said:'Raiyhana, I may not live to see another day...I need to leave you something.' She only thinks about others....and that is what is making it harder for me to come to terms....she may leave me.
My nanny has done everything (as a person) to make her children happy. I know I dont have to be a doctor for her to see me in the white coat (I wish to be a scientist or gynocologist)...but for my nanny to see me in the white coat will be ONE of her many dreams come true!
I am also doing this as I know....that if you make those older than you happy....then Allah too is happy with you!
Only, I wish I can make her happy whilst she is still here....with me!Ameen.

I think that the best thing to benefit from this death is to know that life is really too short, whatever years we live in it, it will end someday! Even if we lived 100 years, someday we will reach the 100 and die.

Look at yourselves now, if you hve 30, 40, or 60y/o, do you say "Oh, i have been living in this life from many years"? Do you feel the past years? They have gone and you just live this moment!

The future is not guaranteed, so all what we own in our hands is this second, whether we use it correctly or miss it forever!

Allah says in Al-Bakar:152,"And say not of those who are slain in the way of God: "They are dead." Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not. And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not.

Aameen to alls duahs
:)
It's strange how death strickens us with grief yet we do so little to prepare for it... May SWT give us the guidance to deal with the loss of a loved one and aid us to continue on a path where we will welcome death rather than fear it..Insha'Allah..
:w:

ps Also rem me in your duahs that I start my dissertation asap I just can't seem to get the inspiration! :?
