the one n only lyrical warrior
can spit rhymes bout the future
makes reality seem so nearer
despite the fact we're behind a computeeer
I know its within ur naturrr
so I am just a capturer

i could get some really deep , beautiful poems that really affected me --written by other people.

i really like poems

im slick ahead of time got my boots laced
just in the nick of time escaped
not brainsick ,nor debased
my every move street cameras observe
and preserve-
private life disclosure
exposure
Id cards
identity thwart
equanimity
they cant knock me
super vigilance
in abundance
big beard
automatically feared
another brother got smeared
how many more, its a big bother
'big brother',f**ck a new world order
illicit temptations they failed to tame me
mentally too strong,now they wanna frame me
guantanamo is where they wanna take me
that place is always ready
but i aint crazy-
to be thrown in a booby hatch
forget talking! gloves off i'm going to wrestle! in this boxing match
till my vessels stop functioning-life latch
they dont understand..,islam is my relgion and-
revolution is my satisfaction

It starts off funny and stupid, but then has a meaning to it in the end.

I didn't want my head to bleed, nor any brain cells to leak. And I'm not particularly fond of getting any dumber. Thus, I stopped reading after the last bold line.
 
Abdau bil hamdulillahi rabbil alameen,
Then protest at the abuse of a thread I'm witnessing,
I've seen the scene of hopes and dreams,
Where ikhlas is told khalas and riya is brought in!
Look at what I mean, verily intention is a hard thing to control,
Harder with people of the opposite gender watchin your poetry show,
So I call for, total control, and have this in the single gender zone.
 
I agree freestyle can sound kool. I still dont see the difference between that and normal poetry though since it's not as though I sit down with my poems and make sure every single word is grammatically correct and edit each line like a thousand times to make it sound better. Isnt it the same as freestyle?

But anyway, main point is that I dont see why you have to use foul language in ur rhymes. It just defeats the purpose of beauty in poetry and taking a lesson from it. If I read something that sounds like it's been written on the streets, ima have a hard time relating to it.

Seriously, rhymes with that kind of theme and swear words, are just totally innapropriate. It just reminds me of, very bad people, I knew back in the days.
 
What is the point? What's the point of this being an islamic forum.

Yes, I am familar with the word nigga, and I know it is used all the time between black poeple, or should I say negroes, or niggas, and believe it or not some of my friends use it, woohooo! Maybe you should assume less and ask more.

How do you know I am not more 'gangsta' than you? And all that rubbish.

Now, blood, is not a swear word, but I cant imagine use going upto an imam and saying 'Salam Alaykum BLOOD, when you kickin salatul ishaa off my nigga, cos I need to catch some zzzz and all'

I also don't think many would go to respectable members of the community and say 'whats up my ******, how are ya mum?'

Anyhow, I'll leave this thread.
