Im Guji...speak abit of the bharuchi dialect.....but i DONT pronounce any of the names wrong! lol i think the hardcore indians do that...!

;D

I don’t know how to put this but……, I’ve just recently moved to the north of England (Preston, Blackburn) from London. I was totally bewildered the way the Guji neighbourhood are so keen in your personal affairs, and those ludicrous remarks they make, and on top of that the amount of backbiting is terrible. Can’t they just mind their own wits?

The disturbing fact is none of them are related to us and they wanna know everything about you, or spread gossip around, and it’s mainly the oldies, or those with their ‘over’ guji speaking style (giving a lot of emphasis to the guji accent.) :?

I dunno what brought this up, but it just boils my blood. :)

Yeah, i know the people you are talking about. Sadly, it doesn't seem as though they have anything better to do with their time and are too stuck in their ways to change.:?

Ma'assalama

:sl: that's not true not all gujis are like that pakis are like that too so are some Bengali's Arabs Christians ...
you cant judge all gujis just by what some of them do
don't judge a group by what one person does

IF you meet a man called MUFTI AYUB PATEL in preseton, tell him ZUBAIR from NEWZEALAND said salaam..
...im his nephew :okay:

Mate,believe me,its not a 'blackburn/preston guji' thing,gujis all over the world do it.Gujis,pakis,europeans,somalians,somoans,tongans,fijians,....

Its human nature. One we have to learn to control, but alot of people give into it.sadly.

I am proud of myself for the fact that i dont get caught up in it,but yeah,i've witnessed so many gujjis doing it,it makes my blood boil too.

the best thing you can do is to keep on reminding them of the hereafter, that they cant achieve it until they learn to control their tongues.

Wa'salam.

i kno....when i moved frm london i was bare shocked also.......i live in panchaat town man ! saaaad hey :(

haha! I've been to Bolton, Blackburn and Preston. Gossip-rama that's all I have to say. The people are quite friendly - dont get me wrong. But some dont respond to salam. That was quite offensive.

Chaalo, pachiti mayla.

salam

Panchat town - haha.

But it's true, all people from all parts of the world do it. Saying that, I do notice that Guji's are the one's who really like to get in the thick of it.

Yes all true but, don’t you just hate when they over exaggerate in ‘Gujarati’. :?

.......and another thing is have you noticed (or is it just me?) that in every family (by 'family', I mean extended family) there is always someone not talking to another family member

You'll be talking to someone and there'll be like, 'Haa, pun mumud ;) bhai tow eenie jowray nathee boltow. (Or something to that effect) ;D

lol Duhaa. I've always wondered whether I could make a script for TV drama from the way my family lives.

What makes it worse is when a sister and a brother marry another brother and sister. Now that's when it gets crazy.
