It is. You got to prepare the leaves, make the gooey stuff, fill them, roll them, slice them, then fry them.

What about cutlets?

Salaam.

Ok Zak, is ponk ice lollies? When I was in India years ago, I remember something being called that. It's crushed ice, dipped in a flavour and mounted on a stick. Right?

Salaam.

Oh ok. But I'm sure those ice lollies are called something similar sounding.

I used to have kitchree n karee, but what is this other thing, tarkaaree? I can't stand it no more. There's also a variation of it called barkee I think, something like that anyway.

What about the small tiny samosa's we have? I don't know if it's a whole way Gujarati thing, but everyone around here loves our small somasa's. Oddly I like the big Pakistani ones instead.

tarkaaree is also known as hannu? Known as curry in english. erm... it's those dishes eaten with roti and rice..

mum makes barkee once in a blue moon. it's made with rice but you do something to it to make it all runny.. (sorry, i don't know)it is such an old dish that when it is made we all love it so much its gone in a second.:giggling:

we have tiny samosa's too!! :)

Salaam.

Yeah, kulfee. But they have some made with crushed ice too in India. Ponk or pung, something like that.

The best hannu with kichree was vhengru, and with papar too!

I didn't know about paunk, untill we were all invited to one in india at one of my cousins khetarr (farm). I was very much looking foward to it. I thought of really appetising food, but it turned out to be little green seeds. However it was really tasty, but not appetising.:)
