Narrated 'Imran bin Husain (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):



The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "I looked into Paradise
and found that the majority of its dwellers were the poor people, and I
looked into the (Hell) Fire and found that the majority of its dwellers
were women."

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):



The bed mattress of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) was made of a leather case stuffed with palm fibres.

Muslim Book 43, Number 7164:
'A'isha reported that these words of Allah: "When they came upon you from above you and from below you and when the eyes turned dull and the hearts rose up to the throats" (xxxiii. 10) pertain to the day of Ditch.

Narrated Masruq (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


I asked 'Aisha "What deed was the most beloved to the Prophet? (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)"

She said, "The regular constant one." I said, "At what
time did he use to get up at night (for the Tahajjud night prayer)?'

She said, "He used to get up on hearing (the crowing of) the cock (the last third of the night)."

Sahih Muslim, Book 42, Number 7108:
Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: One who looks after the orphan whether he is his relative or not, I and he would be together in Paradise like this, and Malik (explained it) with the gesture by drawing his index finger and middle finger close together.

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The deeds of anyone
of you will not save you (from the (Hell) Fire)."






They said, "Even you (will not be saved by your deeds), O Allah's Apostle?"


He said, "No, even I (will not be saved) unless and until Allah bestows His Mercy on me.






Therefore, do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and worship
Allah in the forenoon and in the afternoon and during a part of the night,
and always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course whereby you will reach
your target (Paradise)."

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Do good deeds
properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds alone will not
make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah is the
most regular and constant even though it were little."

Muslim Book 42, Number 7067:
'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-As reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: How would you be, 0 people. when Persia and Rome would be conquered for you?'Abd at-Rahman b Auf said: We would say as Allah has commanded us and we would express our gratitude to Allah Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Nothing else besides it?You would (in fact) vie with one another, then you would feel jealous. then your relations would be estranged and then you will bear enmity against one another. or something to the same effect.Then you would go to the poor emigrants and would make some the masters of the others.

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) was asked, "What deeds are loved
most by Allah?"


He said, "The most regular constant deeds even though they
may be few."


He added, "Don't take upon yourselves, except the deeds which
are within your ability."

Malik's Muwatta Book 7, Number 7.1.3: Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "If you are drowsy in prayer, sleep until sleep leaves you, because if you pray while you are drowsy, you do not know whether you may intend to ask for forgiveness but (in fact) ask for harm."

To Make The Heart Tender - 12th Muharram 1433 (7th December 2011)

Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Once Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) led us in prayer and
then (after finishing it) ascended the pulpit and pointed with his hand
towards the Qibla of the mosque and said, "While I was leading you in
prayer, both Paradise and Hell were displayed in front of me in the
direction of this wall.




I had never seen a better thing (than Paradise) and
a worse thing (than Hell) as I have seen today, I had never seen a better
thing and a worse thing as I have seen today."

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

The Prophet said, "Whoever cannot get an Izar, can wear trousers, and whoever cannot wear sandals can wear Khuffs."

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):



I heard Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, Verily Allah created Mercy.

The day He created it, He made it into one hundred parts.

He withheld with Him ninety-nine parts, and sent its one part to all His
creatures.

Had the non-believer known of all the Mercy which is in the Hands of Allah, he would not lose hope of entering Paradise, and had the believer known of all the punishment which is present with Allah, he would
not consider himself safe from the Hell-Fire."

Bukhari Volume 3, Book 30, Number 93:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "I have made Medina a sanctuary between its two (Harrat) mountains." The Prophet went to the tribe of Bani Haritha and said (to them), "I see that you have gone out of the sanctuary," but looking around, he added, "No, you are inside the sanctuary."

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):



The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to pray so much that hisfeet used to become oedematous or swollen, and when he was asked as to why he prays so much, he would say, "Shall I not be a thankful slave (toAllah)?"

Hadith Qudsi 5:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah (glorified and exalted be He) said:
I am so self-sufficient that I am in no need of having an associate. Thus he who does an action for someone else's sake as well as Mine will have that action renounced by Me to him whom he associated with Me.

It was related by Muslim (also by Ibn Majah).

Allah and the Last Day should talk what is good or keep quiet, and whoever
believes in Allah and the Last Day should not hurt (or insult) his
neighbour; and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, should entertain
his guest generously."

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A slave (of Allah) may
utter a word which pleases Allah without giving it much importance, and
because of that Allah will raise him to degrees (of reward); a slave (of
Allah) may utter a word (carelessly) which displeases Allah without
thinking of its gravity and because of that he will be thrown into the
Hell-Fire."

To Make The Heart Tender - 17th Muharram 1433 (12th December 2011)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said Allah will give shade to
seven (types of people) under His Shade (on the Day of Resurrection). One
of them will be a person who remembers Allah and his eyes are then flooded
with tears.

Hadith Qudsi 12:
On the authority of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:
A man from among those who were before you was called to account. Nothing in the way of good was found for him except that he used to have dealings with people and, being well-to-do, he would order his servants to let off the man in straitened circumstances [from repaying his debt]. He (the Prophet p.b.u.h) said that Allah said: We are worthier than you of that (of being so generous). Let him off.

It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari and an-Nasa'i).
