[Abu Dawud]

Narrated by Abu Huraira (Radiallahu anhu):

The Prophet (pbuh) said:

"Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights."

[Bukhari Vol. 1, Book 2, Number 38]

Hazrat Aisha (Radiallahu anha) reported

Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:

"The most despicable amongst persons in the eye of Allah is one who tries to fall into dispute with others (for nothing but only to display his knowledge and power of argumentation)."

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud relates that the Holy Prophet said:

Truth guides to virtue and virtue guides to Paradise. A person persists in telling the truth till in the sight of Allah he is named Truthful. Lying leads to vice and vice leads to the Fire; and a person goes on lying till in the sight of Allah he is named a liar.

Hazrat Abu Malik Ash'ari (r.a) relates that

the Holy Prophet (saw) said:

Cleanliness is half of faith; the utterance of: All praise belongs to Allah; fills the scales of good works; the utterance of: Holy is Allah and worthy of all praise; fills the space between the heavens and earth; Prayer is light; charity is proof of faith: steadfastness is a glow and the Quran is a plea in your favour or against you. Everyone begins the morning ready to bargain with his soul as a stake and ransoms it or ruins it

(Muslim).

[h=5] Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A prayer performed by someone who has not recited the Foundation of the Quran during it is deficient, incomplete.” He repeated these words three times. Someone said to Abu Huraira, “Even though we are behind the leader?” He said: Recite it to yourself, for I have heard the Messenger of Allah say, “Allah the Exalted said: I have divided prayer between Myself and My servant into two halves, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. When the servant says: Praise be to Allah Lord of the Worlds, Allah says: My servant has praised Me. And when he says: The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Allah says: My servant has extolled Me. And when he says: Master of the Day of Judgment, Allah says: My servant has glorified Me, – and on one occasion He said: My servant has submitted to My power. And when he says: You alone we worship, You alone we ask for help, Allah says: This is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for. And when he says: Guide us to the straight path, the path of those whom you have favored, not those who went astray, Allah says: This is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he has asked for.”
