Sahih Bukhari - Vol. 8, Book 73, Hadith 3Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr:A man said to the Prophet, "Shall I participate in Jihad?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Are your parents living?" The man said, "Yes." the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do Jihad for their benefit."

Narrated Abu Wail:`Abdullah used to give a religious talk to the people on every Thursday. Once a man said, "O Aba `Abdur-Rahman! (By Allah) I wish if you could preach us daily." He replied, "The only thing which prevents me from doing so, is that I hate to bore you, and no doubt I take care of you in preaching by selecting a suitable time just as the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do with us, for fear of making us bored."Reference : Sahih al-Bukhari 70 : Vol. 1, Book 3, Hadith 70

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

2nd Rabi al-Awwal 1435 (4th January 2014)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The example of a
believer is that of a fresh green plant the leaves of which move in
whatever direction the wind forces them to move, and when the wind becomes
still, it stands straight. Such is the similitude of the believer: He is
disturbed by calamities (but like the fresh plant he regains his normal
state soon). And the example of a disbeliever is that of a pine tree (which
remains) hard and straight till Allah cuts it down when He wills."

Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 558

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 2, Number 12:Narrated Anas:The Prophet said, "None of you will have faith till he wishes for his (Muslim) brother what he likes for himself."

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

4th Rabi al-Awwal 1435 (6th January 2014)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Allah says, 'If My
slave intends to do a bad deed then (O Angels) do not write it unless he
does it; if he does it, then write it as it is, but if he refrains from
doing it for My Sake, then write it as a good deed (in his account). (On
the other hand) if he intends to go a good deed, but does not do it, then
write a good deed (in his account), and if he does it, then write it for
him (in his account) as ten good deeds up to seven-hundred times.' "

Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 592

Hazrat Umer bin Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard The Messenger of Allah[SAWW](PBUH) saying, "If you all depend on Allah with due reliance, He would certainly give you provision as He gives it to birds who go forth hungry in the morning and return with full belly at dusk".

[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2344].

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

5th Rabi al-Awwal 1435 (7th January 2014)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A man who never did
any good deed, said that if he died, his family should burn him and throw
half the ashes of his burnt body in the earth and the other half in the
sea, for by Allah, if Allah should get ahold of him, He would inflict such
punishment on him as He would not inflict on anybody among the people. But
Allah ordered the sea to collect what was in it (of his ashes) and
similarly ordered the earth to collect what was in it (of his ashes). Then
Allah said (to the recreated man), 'Why did you do so?' The man replied,
'For being afraid of You, and You know it (very well).' So Allah forgave
him."

Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 597

Hazrat Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah[SAWW](PBUH) said, "The similitude of guidance and knowledge with which Allah has sent me is like a rain which has fallen on some ground. A fertile part of earth has absorbed water and brought forth much grass and herbs. Another part, which is solid, held the water and Allah benefits men thereby, who drank and gave others to drink, and used it for irrigation. But some of it has fallen on a portion of sandy land which neither retains the water nor produces herbage. Such is the likeness of the man who understands the religion of Allah and who gets benefit of what Allah has sent me with; he learns and teaches others. It is also the likeness of the man who neither raises his head on that account (meaning he does not benefit from what the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) was sent with) nor accepts Allah’s Guidance with which I am sent".

[Al-Bukhari Book 01,Chapter 03, Hadith # 079]

I heard the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "On the Day of
Resurrection I will intercede and say, 'O my Lord! Admit into Paradise
(even) those who have faith equal to a mustard seed in their hearts.' Such
people will enter Paradise, and then I will say, 'O (Allah) admit into
Paradise (even) those who have the least amount of faith in their hearts.'

Anas then said: As if I were just now looking at the fingers of Allah's
Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam).

Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 600

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah[SAWW](PBUH) said, "He who acquires a branch of the knowledge of astrology, learns a branch of magic (of which he acquires more as long as) he continues to do so.”

[Abu Dawud, Hadith # 3905].

Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

people of Paradise, 'O the people of Paradise!' They will say, 'Labbaik, O
our Lord, and Sa'daik, and all the good is in Your Hands!' Allah will say,
'Are you satisfied?' They will say, 'Why shouldn't we be satisfied O our
Lord, as You have given us what You have not given to any of Your created
beings?' He will say, 'Shall I not give you something better than that?'
They will say, 'O our Lord! What else could be better than that?' He will
say, 'I bestow My Pleasure on you and will never be angry with you after
that.' "

Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 609

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

8th Rabi al-Awwal 1435 (10th January 2014)

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Regarding the explanation of the Verse:-- '(O Muhammad!) Neither say your
prayer aloud, nor say it in a low tone.' (17.110)

This Verse was revealed while Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) was hiding himself at Makkah. At that time, when he led his
companions in prayer, he used to raise his voice while reciting the Qur'an;
and if the pagans heard him, they would abuse the Qur'an, its Revealer, and
the one who brought it.

So Allah said to His Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam): "Neither say
your prayer aloud. i.e., your recitation (of Qur'an) lest the pagans should
hear (it) and abuse the Quran," nor say it in a low tone, "lest your voice
should fail to reach your companions, but follow a way between." (17.110)

Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 616

Hazrat Rifaah bin Rafi Az-Zuraqi (May Allah be pleased with him) said: Jibril (Gabriel) came to the Prophet [SAWW](PBUH) and asked him: "How do you estimate among you those who participated in the battle of Badr?” He [SAWW] replied, "They were the best of Muslims” (or he may have said something similar to that). Jibril said: "The same is the case with the angels who were at Badr.” [Al-Bukhari Hadith # 3992].
