Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "(A group of) angels stay with you at night and (another group of) angels by daytime, and both groups gather at the time of the 'Asr and Fajr prayers. Then those angels who have stayed with you overnight, ascend (to Heaven) and Allah asks them (about you) - and He knows everything about you. "In what state did you leave My slaves?' The angels reply, 'When we left them, they were praying, and when we reached them they were praying.'"

(Sahih al-Bukhari 7429, Book 97, Hadith 56)
 
Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The sun and the moon will be folded up (deprived of their light) on the Day of Resurrection."

Aishah (RA) said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying at his death: ‘O Allah, forgive me and have mercy on me, and join me with the Highest Company (Allahummaghfirli warhamni wa alhiqni bir-rafiqil a`la).’”


اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ الأَعْلَى

Narrated Ibn Al-Musaiyab (RA): Abu Hurairah (RA) said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'A prayer performed in congregation is twenty-five times more superior in reward to a prayer performed by a single person. The angels of the night and the angels of the day are assembled at the time of the Fajr (Morning) prayer." Abu Hurairah added, "If you wish, you can recite: 'Verily! The recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn (Morning prayer) is ever witnessed (attended by the angels of the day and the night).' (17.78)

It was narrated from Abu Mas’ud (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.”

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that: the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The most virtuous fasting after the month of Ramadan is Allah's month Al-Muharram."

Narrated Salama bin Al-Akwa (RA): Once the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered a person on 'Ashura' (the tenth of Muharram) to announce, "Whoever has eaten, should not eat any more, but fast, and who has not eaten should not eat, but complete his fast (till the end of the day).

Narrated `Aisha (RA): The people used to fast on 'Ashura (the tenth day of the month of Muharram) before the fasting of Ramadan was made obligatory. And on that day the Ka`ba used to be covered with a cover. When Allah made the fasting of the month of Ramadan compulsory, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever wishes to fast (on the day of 'Ashura') may do so; and whoever wishes to leave it can do so."

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Satan comes to one of you and says, 'Who created so-and-so? 'till he says, 'Who has created your Lord?' So, when he inspires such a question, one should seek refuge with Allah and give up such thoughts."

It was narrated that Qais bin Sa'd bin 'Ubadah (RA) said: "We used to fast on 'Ashura and give Zakatul-Fitr, and when the command to fast in Ramadan was revealed, and the command to give Zakah was revealed, we were neither commanded to give it, nor told not to do so, and we used to do it."

(Sunan an-Nasa'i 2506, Book 23, Hadith 72)
 
Abu Qatadah (RA) narrated that: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Fast the Day of Ashura, for indeed I anticipate that Allah will forgive (the sins of) the year before it."

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed Allah, Most High said: 'O son of Adam! Devote yourself to My worship, I will fill your chest with riches and alleviate your poverty. And if you do not do so, then I will fill your hands with problems and not alleviate your poverty.'"

(Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2466, Book 37, Hadith 52)
 
Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Faith has seventy-some odd doors, the lowest of which is removing something harmful from the road, and its highest is the statement 'La Ilaha Illallah.'"

It was narrated that Abu Mas'ud Al-Ansari (RA) said: "It was said to the Prophet (ﷺ): We have been commanded to send salah and salams upon you. We know how to send salams, but how should we send salah?' He said: Say:


اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ



'Alahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala ali Muhammad, kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima wa barik 'ala Muhammad kama barakta 'ala ali Ibrahim fil-'alamin, innaka hamidun majid
(O Allah, send salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent salah upon the family of Ibrahim).'"

(Sunan an-Nasa'i 1286, Book 13, Hadith 108)

Aishah (RA) narrated: "The night prayer of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was thirteen Rak'ah, five of which were his Witr, not sitting in any of them except at the end of them. When the Mu'adh-dhin called the Adhan he would stand to perform two light (Rak'ah)."

Narrated Abu Umamah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I guarantee a house in the surroundings of Paradise for a man who avoids quarrelling even if he were in the right, a house in the middle of Paradise for a man who avoids lying even if he were joking, and a house in the upper part of Paradise for a man who made his character good.

(Sunan Abi Dawud 4800, Book 43, Hadith 28)
 
Imran bin Husain (RA) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) taught my father two statements to recite in his Du'a. These are: ‏اللهم ألهمني رشدي، وأعذني من شر نفسي‏ "Allahumma al-himni rushdi, wa a'idhni min sharri nafsi (O Allah! Inspire in me guidance and deliver me from the evils within myself)."

(Riyad as-Salihin 1487, Book 16, Hadith 23)
 
Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA): that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The best generation is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then comes a people after that whose swearing precedes their testimony, or whose testimony precedes their swearing."
