Yes, it is quite sad; that many people didn't get one of the easiest questions asked in this thread right. It is Bukhari, I answered quite alot of my own questions before also. It may just be that people need to be woken up, and told to do something constantly, before they get into it. Ahadith study is very important; as today you'll come across many mis-understandings and divisions and all sorts of other trouble regarding how one understands the Sunnah of the Prophet :arabic5:, the answer is a very few. The common excuse is; "I follow such and such" and "It's the scholars; that are to blame 100%", but one has to take some responsibility. Brother, I think you are trying to teach like an Alim course to kids. They will not pick up most of the information you throw at them anyway; so why bother. It is obviously very hard for people who are kept away from Hadith by their Imams and other so-called religious leaders and scholars. You do remember that I was in that position at one time. But online teaching isn't as effective as the classroom or one-to-one style.
I picked up what you used to teach in Islamic Societies quite fast compared to this, because I think it was just a different environment. I don't mean to disapoint anyone, but I see people go to forums just to spend a little bit of their time there; its a way of avoiding bordom, not to gain knowledge. That's another reason why you cannot really teach online. And at this day and age; no-one else even cares about guidence and unity. They each think they are upon the straight path and everyone else is fee dhalaalim-mubeen. You will get a very small amount of people; who are even very reluctantly willing to translate a small hadith you posted in the Arabic thread. Brother Ali posted it on another forum and got a stupid reply for it also.
If 100 people visit this forum, and only 1 benefits akhee..then Alhamdulillah. Ahmed is doing a good job of sharing what knowledge he has with us. You are right that it is not the same as teaching one to one, but does that mean he should stop?? No.
You are right, may Allah guide us all. But that is no reasoon for those that do care about "guidance and unity" to stop teaching.
