I'd like to fix it so that no one can cut and paste poems and work from my blog, can someone pls tell me how to do this in a simple manner.. I am not very computer savvy.. Just don't want my stuff to be stolen and claimed in someone else's name...:hmm:

thank you

Jazakoum Allah khyran

"Print screen" your work. Copy the "printscreened" picture onto a photo editing software such as photoshop or microsoft photo editor and save it as a jpg or any other picture format. Then upload your writings as pictures (not text) onto your blog. That way if you put your signature after every poem, people will have to save your entire poems as a picture ALONG with your signature so they cant steal your work DIRECTLY.. If they save the picture and use it somewhere else, your signature will still be there.

But sadly, people are HUGE frauds so they might as well type out the poems themselves and claim that they wrote it so in reality, nothing is theft - proof.

Hope it helps.

I know there are better methods, but im not acquainted with them yet so forgive me for my limited knowledge on this.

[just in case]Printscreen means to copy EVERYTHING that is present in your screen as a picture onto your clipboard. You can then place these printscreens onto photo editing softwares.[/just in case]

prntscreen doesn't work at all on my computer and I have over a hundred poem it is really time consuming is there any other way? that is not to say that I don't deeply appreciate your help on this..

Jazaka Allah khyran

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Below is a little trick that will stop your visitors from copying and pasting your webpage information. Anyone with experience may know a way around this trick. However it will make it hard enough to discourage them and get them moving on to easier targets.[/FONT]

I used to be like that too sister but then you stop and re check your intention. If you're truly doing this for the sake of Allah you dont care if a person takes what you got and pretends it's theirs, at the end of the day Allah knows that it is yours and if people benefit then that is your true aim.

Nevertheless make it known to people that you spent alot of time on it and if people want to use it they are allowed to as long as they acknowledge that you are the author, whoever "steals" it after that has clearly wronged you.

Can we see your blog?

:sl:

I'd let you see it, but I fear it isn't a religious blog, it is just poetry that I had written since I was a kid :embarrass:embarrass:embarrass

Jazakoum Allah khyran..

P.S I am subscribed to your blog btw.. it is beautiful and well done Masha'Allah :statisfie

:sl:

You can subscribe to my blog? wow I didnt even know lol

Even if your blog isnt religious in a literal sense you can try to blend in islam into it. Maybe write a poem that reflects on time or death etc. It does not always have to be Qur'aan and Hadith.

But what if they crop the signature out of the picture? :X :embarrass

Wow thats some deep stuff! I feel abit sad now lol

I am always amazed how women always seem very good in penning down their emotions and thoughts. I must say that your english is very good even for a little girl [since you said you wrote 13 years back] even the things you write about are heavy topics!

Some times it is good to be optimistic even when things seem gloomy, the Prophet Jesus and his companions walked past a dead dog once and they all compained of the stench and how ugly it was, yet Jesus said what wonderful teeth it has! Moral of the story, try to see the world in a more happy way.

Btw I really loved your blog, once I figure out how to subscribe I'll join lol

It works now! :D
I'll check out later since I'm supposed to be doing my homework :X..it looks great tho! :D
