How long do you fast in your country?

:sl: hi guys I am interested to know how long you fast at your countries. I heard that Norway and Sweden fast around 20-21 hours during summer and UK 18 hours.

Can you breakdown your fasting time according to the seasons like winter, summer or spring?

Here in Malaysia we fast roughly around 12 hours, we only have two seasons which is dry and monsoon rain season but doesn't affect the fasting time.
 
I live in Toronto Canada.
We have four seasons; Winter, Autumn, Spring, and Summer.

Currently it's Summer, we fast from around 4:00am (04:00) to 9:00pm (21:00). So 17 or so hours.

When I was growing up, it was much easier for me to fast compared to the kids in my area today because I started fasting in the Winter season when I was 8-9 years old. We would wake up, at around 6am, eat for sehri, sleep, wake up for school in a bit, go to school, come home, play a game of chess with my brother and friend, then go to mosque for Iftar.

Fasting is easier done in the cold short days compared to the long hot days in Toronto Canada.

Not around 12, but 13+ hours. We are fasting since the dawn not since sunrise.

In equatorial areas the fasting time is always stable in all seasons. The difference is only in minutes, not in hours.

in normal situation , u have to maintain ur local time . If u are in pole areas , u may follow nearest country time or home town .

In Malaysia we start just before 6am and we break just after 7.30pm, so that makes it about 13 and a half hours :shade: . Yes, bro Ardianto, you are correct in that it is over 13 hours.

Depending on the time of year, iftar could be as early as 7pm or latest around 7.30pm (half hour only as we are really close to the equator)
 
Pakistan, according to Islamicfinder. Karachi almost 15 hours, Islamabad almost 16 hours. Latitudinal difference creates one hour difference.

I have a revert friend in the US who is moving to Chile very soon to live with his wife and will thereby reduce his fasting hours from 17 to just 12. :)
