I'm not Bengali but if you use the search option on forums, you can see if anyone typed in Bengali as a language they speak or wish to learn about. I found a couple of people...

yes , Sylheti language is totally different from pure Bangla . U may say that Sylheti is one of the hard dialect / languages to understand in Bangladesh .
