How many Bengalis are here ?

Kita khoss is sylheti that I know

Don't use that question on elders :exhausted You'll probably get a backhand or two... Nah, jokes but it is very impolite and rude if that question is addressed to them. It's OK to use to those younger or of a similar age

qurratul seems to have a very similar bengali dialect to mine but muslim womans sylheti is slightly diffenent.

i remember once i was with a group of bengali boys in college and i said

"ami ayram" (ill be back)

and they all looked at each other then started chanting "ram ram ram ram" and laughing.

lol they say ami ayar.

and peri, we understand urdu but you dnt know bengalu because urdu is very popular and most of iur elders know it :-)

I just pick up bits and pieces, it's not hard. Lol

My dear Muslim Woman's Bangla is proper Sylheti, I think. But I think she hails from Dhaka, so she will know the proper version of Dhaka & Sylhet Bangla
