WWE and all those other typical wrestling programmes are all faked - in the sense that it isn't really a sport, but an "entertainment" hence World Wrestling Entertainment or w/e. The only reason most people watch it is because of the drama (and I've started watching again because The Rock is back xD) You should watch MMA if you want something real lol.

And those bollywood actors and such you have touched on are very amusing; people will do anything for money.

Not that I am defending this or saying that being sexual with someone other than your spouse is okay, but hopefully I can explain that the attitude there is that it is not immoral if that's just part of your job. The fact that the actors have to portray a loving embrace (a hug, for example) doesn't mean they really have loving feelings towards that person or that they want to cheat on their spouse with that person, it is just part of the acting profession, just as people who dance with a parter must be very close while they are dancing. I would agree, however, that if the two actors started being sexual off-screen, then it would be very immoral and would hurt their respective spouses.

I mean, doctors touch people and do things that in any normal setting would be considered very inappropriate, but because it is there job, society gives it an exception. Granted, acting and being a doctor are very different, but I'm just trying to give another example of how when it is a part of the job, it's not really seen as bad.

Good thread, though! I've never really thought about this! Interesting...
comparing medicine with hollywood? great.

A doctor doesnt touch patient's genitals or breasts because he loves to .... the patient wants help and has given the doctor the permission to touch those areas because if the doctor would not, the patient could die of the underlying disease.

What disease the people have which can be diagnosed if they kissed each other on the screen?

Atheistic idiocy makes me laugh.

If you want to have a better idea of how Americans like to be entertained, watch the 'Spartacus' TV series by Starz. Watch it with care, though.

The argument that actors touch each other, besides doing so many other haram things, because that's their job, is very ridiculous. In Thailand, prostitutes sell their bodies because that is their profession. They do it to earn money to feed themselves and their children. Sometimes, even their lazy, good-for-nothing, leech-like husbands. Does that make prostitution acceptable?

The point I am trying to make is:
1. Doing anything for any reason other than to seek Allah's blessing is to do something that will not be accepted by Allah.
2. There are so many, many different ways of earning a halal income. Unless you don't want to.

Agh, I shouldn't even be on here, but the information must be conveyed.

The way that Hulk Hogan put it, "Wrestling isn't fake, it's predetermined." Explaining all about how it works would strain my fingers to the point of agony. Suffice to say some of the violence is real but all of the violence is exaggerated or "sold". If you think they don't get hurt, try telling that to Owen Hart. Oh, that's right, to do so you would need the help of Dr. Frankenstein, because Hart died doing a wrestling stunt and he's not alone. Wrestlers have so much stamina because they need to in order to wrestle 300 days a year. They're the toughest people out there.

Movie stunt people sometimes die, too, and the actors can be considerably hurt or killed. Again, I shouldn't be typing, just look up the various on-set accidents of The Wizard of Oz, or John Landis's infamously fatal treatment of his actors during his segment of the Twilight Zone film, and there's plenty more where that came from. Some stunts are quite real and notoriously dangerous or harmful. Jackie Chan is a living, breathing example. As for the sexual stuff it's faked too outside of hardcore porn, and the method varies: it can be anything from camera tricks with body doubles to full on making out with the man naked except for a sock over his genitals. Only documentaries are fully real, and even those sometimes present disinformation or use deceptive editing (*cough*Michael Moore*cough*).

The Iron Sheik dropped the belt to Hogan at msg. That was fake. If it was a real wrestling match, the Iron Sheik would have killed him.

WWE is mostly fake.

Movies are all fake, even if it's based on a true story or incident it is written by skilled writer.
but i know how shameless they act on screen and all world see this, mean kissing hugging etc. so i am thinking is this also a reality or just a camera trick
But yes, all the shameless actions they do in movies are real...Audhbillah Naudhbillah.

how ppl used to say i like katrina, amir khan etc..... they are such a shameless people and ppl used to praise them...astagfurallah.

And yes, most people find their idols in the mainstream artists. They are shameless and have got nothing good in their lives to do. Although I like Aamir Khan and his movies that doesn't make me shameless :p

^ but seventytwo, doesnt it hurt to see the one you love "acting" kisses and such? To me adultery is the physical intimacy between a man and a woman who are not partners. On screen, off screen, acting or not, it makes no difference.

It will burn me up and leave me in ashes to see that of my own sister/mother/cousin let alone my wife.

I would never ever want to see my sister kiss someone, we have private rooms for such things, why must it be displayed so freely onscreen

Why would anyone agree to their wife to be touched, hugged, kissed, gaining pleasure by any other man other than themselves? Immoral or not, it's sick. Don't these people have shame? Knowing that their wife is having it off with someone else, whether it's intentional or not (acting) it's still happened and it can cause to feelings for one another and then destruction to the couples REAL relationship.

Totally agree, guys. I'd have a real hard time with it, even if it were just a job and doing it to make a living. Definitely would not want to see any of my family doing that either... I was just trying to explain the rationale behind it. I suppose the people in Hollywood are more okay with it or more used to it than others. Like I said, I'm not defending it...

1) This has nothing to do with atheism. Only culture differences...

2) I have had physicals (as have many many many other people) where I am perfectly healthy, but the doc is just checking up on me. Everyone is okay with that, and we're all PAYING the doctor to do it! Why is it okay there? I already knew I was in good health, I just had to get an exam so I could play soccer for my school. Does that make me a *****? Allowing someone to touch me, so I can prove I'm healthy enough to play a sport? Does allowing someone to touch me so I can get what I want make me a horrible person?

3) I would wager that most on screen sexual scenes are uncomfortable for all parties involved... They probably don't WANT to do the scene, but they do it anyway because they want to get a paycheck. The doctor probably doesn't WANT to have to examine me (and I certainly dont WANT to get examined...), but he wants to get paid as well, and I want to be able to play soccer...

I'm just trying to point out that issues like this are not cut-and-dry. They are not black and white... There are significant grey areas, in which sometimes it is okay to touch someone, and in other times it is not. I'm not really advocating for any situation here, merely asking the question: When and why is that okay? When and why is it not?

Excuse me... didn't realize that would be edited out. I was asking if it made me similar to a prostitute to do that. Doing something just to get what I want...
