Lecture Title: Halal And Haram Wealth


The Respected Shaykh First Mentioned How We As People Have So Much Love For Wealth. Wealth Has Become The Main Aim And Objective Of Life And People Have Made Long Plans Of What They Want To Do With The Wealth. Allah Mentions In The Quran " Wa Tuhibunal Maa La Hubban Jamma" = People Generally Have Fallen In The Trap Of Wealth - Excessive Love For The Wealth. Allah Also Mentions " Innahu Lihubbil Khayri Lashadeed".


The Prophet Of Allah Told Amr Ibn Al Aas Radhiyallahu Anhu " Good Wealth Is A Good Thing, Halal Wealth For A Person Who Is Pious As Well - To The Nearest Meaning * * *


The Respected Imam Was Trying To Convey A Message Which Was Dont Make The Wealth Of This World The Main Aim Of Life. Haram Food, Haram Wealth, Haram Drinks - We Need To Abstain From All These Things Because Allah Has A Law. The Law Is "verily Almighty Allah Is Pure And Allah Only Accepts That Which Is Pure. (saheeh Muslim).


And Allah Commanded The Messengers And Prophets To Consume Those Things Which Are Pure. What We Eat Is Connected To Our Actions And Thereafter In The Hadith It Is Mentioned That The Prophet Of Allah Said That You Find A Person Who Eats Haram, His Clothing Is Haram, He Drinks Haram And Then He Makes Dua - Where Will His Dua Be Accepted? It Shows When We Consume Haram It Nulifies The Action. The Duas Are Rejected, The Actions Are Rejected. If We Get Haram Income And Then Spend It In Charity, How Can This Be Accepted?


The Charity From Haram Is Also Not Accepted. (Tirmidhi). A Person Who Gathers Haram And Then Wants To Give In Charity, Allah Does Not Accept It From Him, It Becomes A Huge Huge Calimity On That Person. (Hadith). Allah Flings And Throws Those People In Jahannam Who Have Haram And Then Wants To Give Into Charity.(Hadith) Every Piece Of Flesh Which Grows And Develops With Haram For Example This Haram Could Be Corruption And Bribary, Theft As Well As Drugs And Many Other Things. Haram Income Is On The Increase. Remember We Should Stay Far Away From This Haram.


The Only Way To Succeed Is To Have True Taqwa And Piety And To Acquire The Quality Of Shame And Modesty. The Prophet Of Allah Once Told The Sahaba To Obtain The Quality Of Hayaa ( Modesty ). The Sahaba Then Asked The Prophet Of Allah, That They Have The Quality Of Modesty, The Prophet Of Allah Then Said It Is Not That Shame You Are Thinking About, The Head Should Be Such That It Is Pure. - Includes The Thoughts In The Head, Protecting Of Eyes, Tongue, And Whatever Goes In To Our Stomachs.


A Person Should Remember Death Abundantly And Give Preference To The Hereafter More Than This World. We Need To Make Sure What We Are Eating Is From Halal Income. Death Will Follow Us From Wherever We Are. The Sustinence Will Also Follow Us From Wherever We Are. So Our Duty Is To Go And Seek From Those Places Which Are Halal. Every Day Two Angels Come Down And Make Dua " Allah Those Who Spend In Your Path, Give Them A Better Replacement, Those Who Behold Their Wealth And Are Stingy, Allah Destroy Them".


We Need To Build And Establish The Good Society. If We Are Not There Then How Will Our Society Become A Good Society. So It Is Our Responsibilty That We Consume Halal.


In The Second Khutbah The Shaykh Praised Allah And Sent Salutations Upon The Beloved Prophet Of Allah. Anything Which Is Haram Is Following The Path Of The Shaytaan. The Swine And Blood Has Been Made Haram So Therefore We Need To Stay Away From Them Things. There Is No Place For Pagan Customs.

English version of Friday sermons at holy mosques to go online

The English translations of the Friday and Eid sermons from the pulpits of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah will soon go online.

Suleiman Aba Al-Khail, president of the Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, Riyadh and Nasser Al-Khozaim, deputy chairman of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, signed an agreement in Riyadh to publish such sermons online yesterday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

According to the cooperation agreement, the university will undertake translation of the Friday sermons delivered at the two holy mosques, in addition to the sermons on Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha and place it on the presidency’s website throughout the year. This will come into effect from the beginning of the next academic year.

Speaking on the occasion, Al-Khail said the university is proud of undertaking this noble mission in the service of Islam and Muslims across the world. “This comes in the framework of the university’s social responsibility, role of building the younger generation and above all serving the nation.

On his part, Al-Khozaim said the signing of the agreement is in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah to disseminate such messages from the two holy mosques around the world.

In another development, Al-Khail signed another contract with a Saudi company to establish an audio-visual link between the boy students’ city and King Abdullah City for Girls in the university campus.

Muhammad Al-Jaryan, general supervisor of technical affairs at the university, said the facility would enable girl students and women academic staff to watch activities and programs such as lectures and workshops being held at the boy’s city and other facilities in the university campus.​

The Grand Mufti of Ka'aba, Sheikh Khalid Bin Ali al Ghamdi, known as “Imam-e-Haram”, arrived on a seven-day visit here on Tuesday. Dr. al Ghamdi was received at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport here by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.Health and Family Welfare Minister Ahmed Hasan, Labour Minister Waqar Ahmed Shah and prominent clerics including the Imam of Aishbagh Idgah, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, Maulana Salman Nadwi and Maulana Saeedur Rahman Nadwi were present to receive the “Imam-e- Haram”. Heads of Muslim religious organisations were also present.Dr. al Ghamdi has come to Lucknow at the personal invitation of Maulana Salman Nadwi, an Islamic scholar at Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama here. Elaborate arrangements have been made by the district administration for his stay in Lucknow.On Wednesday, the “Imam-e-Haram” will address a congregation at the Nadwatul Ulama after leading the maghrib (dusk) prayers. The next day, he will inaugurate the F.I. Maulana Ali Mian Institute of Medical Sciences at Bani on Lucknow-Kanpur road and address a conference on global peace. The conference will be attended by Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. Dr. al Ghamdi will lead the Juma (Friday) prayers at Nadwatul Ulama on Friday and themaghrib and isha ( night ) prayers at Aishbagh Idgah.Thereafter, he will participate in a conference organised by the Islamic Centre of India. The conference will be presided over by All-India Muslim Personal Law Board president Hazrat Maulana Syed Mohammad Rabe Hasani.On Saturday, Dr. al Ghamdi will visit Integral University for an interaction with the students and faculty members. The “Imam-e-Haram” is scheduled to meet Mr. Akhilesh Yadav at the Chief Minister's official residence on Sunday evening before returning on Monday.

The Respected Shaykh Began The Khutbah Praising The Almighty Allah And Sending Salutations Upon The Beloved Prophet Of Allah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasalam. He Then Began Praising Allah For The Numerous Bounties Allah Has Bestowed Us. He Told The Gathering That It Is Important To Recognise Allah With His Names And Attributes. He Also Began Informing The Gathering Of Adopting Taqwa. The Respected Shaykh Began Informing The Gathering That It Is A Duty Of All Believers To Thank And Show Gratitude For The Numerous Bounties Allah Has Bestowed Upon Us. The Respected Khateeb Began Mentioning And Showed Many Proofs Regarding This Topic.


The Shaykh Then Again Told The Gathering Allah Has Bestowed Many Gifts Upon Us So We Should Thank Allah For This And If We Want To Achieve Success Then We Have To Do That. The Prophet Of Allah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasalam Also Reminded Us Of This Act Of Showing Gratitude And Recognising All Those Gifts. The Shaykh Began Mentioning About Sayidana Shuaib Alayhis Salam And Musa Alayhisalam And Said ' Oodhkorroo Nimatallah '. Remember Them Even It Might Seem Less Outworldly.


The Shaykh Mentioned Again Stories Of The Sahabas And Prophets And Said It Is Important To Continuely Praise The Almighty Allah And Added Saying That Everything In Between The Heavens And The Earth - Allah Has Created With An Intention To Be Of Service To Us. 'o Alah Guide Us On The Straight Path ' Ihdinas Siraatal Mustaqeem ' (surah Fatiha). The Imam Then Started Getting Emotional During The Khtubah And Said That Allah Is Sending Punishment And His Wrath On Certain Nations So We Should Ask For Afiyah So We Are Saved From Punishment. There May Be An Action Within Our Selves Which Is Bad And Because Of This Allah Might Be Sending Punishment Upon Other Nations Because Of Our Wrong Oings.


The Shaykh Mentioned Thereafter That There Are Two Bounties Which Are Great. One Is ' Assihatu Wal Faraag ' - Good Health And Time Management. When We Eat, Drink, Go To Answer The Call Of Nature, When Something Goes Right For Us Etc We Should Thank Allah. The Shaykh Then Quoted Some Verses From Surah Dhuha. Alam Yajidka Yateeman Faawa, Wawajadaka Dhallan Fahada, Wawajadaka Aaa-ilan Faaghna. The Respected Shaykh Mentioned That We Should Use The Bounties That Allah Has Given And Then Thank Him For It By Praising Him. He Said Before Sleeping We Should Thank Him, When Waking Up Etc.


The Shaykh Encouraged The Gathering To Take Some Time Out And Ponder Upon The Bounties And Gifts That Allah Has Given Us And Then Contemplate Upon Those People Who Have Not Been Given The Same Gift That Allah Has Given Us. E.g. Food, Shelter, Wealth Etc As There Are Many People Throughout The World Who May Not Have Those Gifts. There Are Many Duas To Thank The Almighty Allah, Masnoon Duas Such As Thanking Allah For Feeding Us And Giving Us Safety. To Thank And Praise Allah Is A Prerequesite Which Is Also Mentioned In The Quran. Allah Gives More If We Do Shukr And Be Greatful For These Bounties. Punishment Is More Severe Such As How Fire Consumes A Bit Of Water Spilt.


Water Is Also A Gift - And Then The Shaykh Mentioned A Story About The Prophet Of Allah Sallalahu Alayhi Wasalam To The Nearest Meaning Telling Someone About Some Water Which Was Unused Or Spilt And Told That Person Or People About The Gift Of It. We Should Not Waste Gifts And Bounties Allah Has Given Us.


Allah Will Give But We Should Make Shukr. Again The Khateeb Got Emotional. If We Dont Make Shukr, The Bounty Wont Remain A Bounty. The Respected Shaykh Then Praised The Almighty Allah And Sent Salutations Upon The Beloved Prophet Of Allah Sallalahu Alayhi Wasalam And Informed The Gathering To Sabr And Be Patient And Adopt This Quality Which Is Patience. Very Few Thank Allah For The Bounties Which Allah Has Given. The Shaykh Made Dua For Us To Be Granted Jannat, Be Saved From The Fire Of Jahannam, Prayed For The Ummah At Large, Made Dua For The People Of Syria - Shaam, Made Dua For Rain, And Adopting The Quality Of Ikhlaas, Made Dua For Those Suffering, Made Dua For Assisting And For The Muslims To Be United And That Allah Grants Us The Correct Understanding As Well As Mentioned The Beloved Prophet Of Allah Sallalahu Alayhi Wasalam And The Sahabas In The Second Khutbah.


Please Forgive For My Errors Within This Khutbah Brothers And Sisters However Inshallah After The Academic Year, The Saudi Government Will Be Providing Transcripts Of The Khutbahs From Both Grand Mosques Inshallah As Been Mentioned So It Will Be Easier For The Ummah At Large To Also Get The Message Which The Khateebs Are Saying From The Pulpit.

Inshallah I Am So Looking Foward To Ramadhan To Be Able To Read Salaah Right Behind The Imams Of Masjid Haram And Masjid Nabawi !

Sheikh Abdullah ( Person Whos Usually Always Behind Masjid Nabawi Imams ) Is A Lucky Person To Always Be Right Behind The Imams.

In Makkah You Have To Be Careful You Dont Sit Too Foward By The Imams Place For Taraweeh Because I Remember 2 Years Ago People Got Moved From There Although They Were Waiting For Some Time But Luckily I Knew How It Works Round That Area So I Sat By The Stairs On Got Itr Given By The Guards And Me And A Young Arab Guy Were Then Waiting For Sheikh Ahmed Ali Mullah To Come Down But He Was Taking Too Long So Both Of Us Left.

Sheikh Abdur Rahmaan as Sudais has been chosen to be the leader of the presidency for the 2 harams after Sheikh Saalih al Husayn resigned due to health-related issues.
