how do the imams get away from the people so fast? and why do they need guards? its not like people will attack them, i heard SS has the heaviest security, why does he need so much, surely he is big enough physically to protect himself?

i wouldn't mind if Sheikh Hamid did taraweeh next year coz i enjoy his recitation, but i hope it will be SS, SAS, SST and SB inshallah

Eid mubarak everyone!

Also after trawee salah was finished the imams would be escorted out by the guards but when SST used to leave he used to leave on his own - he would take off his bisht and walk around and not many people recognised him - although a few people did. That way I used to walk out with him to the gate on several occassions - a lot of people got to meet him that way too. I asked why the guards didnt escort him - he said I dont really need it - mashallah!..........it was top for me cuz we would talk on the way out!

Actually I did ask him and he told me that he was going to lead but instead they chose Shaykh Johany (didnt say why) and his role this year was to take some pressure off the main imams in leading the fardh salah - as SST this year was leading Fajr, Asr and Isha (when Shaykh Subayl was not leading).

Also at the end of the day the King ultimately decides everything!

Shaykh UK led Zohar and Magrib was normally led by SAS.

brother as do u know when sheikh shuraim's leading for example taraweeh then sudais is standing behind him and then suddenly he's disabered??....Can u tell me where they go inshallah...
