^Jazakillah Khair for sharing.

Sheikh Saalih Aal Taalib has been amazing in Salaatul Isha these past two nights. The parts he chooses to read are just excellent, like the one from Sura Fath:
Indeed Allah shall fulfill the true vision which He showed to His Messenger in very truth. Certainly, you shall enter Al-Masjid Al-Haram, if Allah wills  May Allah take us to Haramain very soon! Ameen!

And tonight he read from the beginning of Sura Yaaseen and after the salaah, he announced that there would be Salaatul Istisqaa tomorrow. Here's a live recording (of the athaan, iqaamah and entire salaatul Isha, including the announcement) from the mataaf :coolious:

I can't wait to watch Salaatul Istisqaa tomorrow, May Allah bless them with rain! Ameen!

Does anyone what's wrong with saudi 1 on aswatal Islam? It has the correct picture but the audio is something else. Is it doing this with everyone. Even the live 24 hour broadcast doesn't work for me anymore imsad

And haramainrecordings have Sheikh Shuraim's "al-Hajju ash hurun Ma3loomaat..." from Hajj 1424 Isha :coolious: I can't thank you guys at haramainrecordings enough for that. That was the year I went for Hajj, Alhamdulillah! And May Allah reward all your efforts with Jannah. And the same for iharam and islam-fr. We really appreciate all the recordings. :thumbs_up

Reading about the death of Sh. Muhammad al-Ashqar (rahimahuAllaah) reminded me of another one of our Scholars who lived.

Sh. Ibn 'Abd al-Wahhaab Marzook al-Banna passed away a couple of days ago, rahimahuAllaah, at the age of 93.

He was the old Shaykh in the wheelchair, first saff in al-Haram al-Makki.

SubhanAllaah it would amaze how he would be there every year, praying all the 20 rak'ah, right there behind the Imaam.

May Allaah grant him Jannat-ul-Firdaws...Ameen!

Innaa lillaahi wa innaa ilayhi raaji'oon.

I always wandered who he was. Yes he was always there without fail. He always made such an effort even though he sometimes looked so frail. Sometimes you see young, healthy men not going to the mosque without any valid excuse. They could learn a lot from him. I guess he must have been a scholar? As I don't recall hearing his name as a former imaam.

May Allah have mercy on his soul and forgive his sins and grant him a place in jannatul firdous, and also all Muslims have departed this world. Ameen.

^innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji3oon. may Allah bless the sheikh with jannah, Ameen.
sad we wont see him this ramadan. i always wondered who the sheikh was and now i know his name after he has passed away.:(
may Allah reward him amply for his efforts, Ameen.

May Allah have mercy on both the sheiks

Sheikh bin abdul wahab al banna's death really afected me a lot , i felt sick that day , Most people dont know who he was , and its crazy how every year we lose two or three big scholars and people of knowledge , Its so crazy that one could count the people of knowledge on ones fingertips now , they are soo less its scary , We should all( and speaking to my self first) Make an extra effort to seek knowledge and devot our selfes to knowlede

Abdullah bin Amr bin Al Aas (ra) narrates:
I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious learned men) remains, people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray." Bukhari 1.100

Abu Huraira (ra) narrates:
Allah's Apostle said, "The Hour will not be established (1) till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine, (2) till about thirty Dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is Allah's Apostle, (3) till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of religious scholars) (4) earthquakes will increase in number (5) time will pass quickly, (6) afflictions will appear, (7) Al-Harj, (i.e., killing) will increase, (8) till wealth will be in abundance--so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to whom it will be offered) will say, 'I am not in need of it,' (9) till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings, (10) till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, 'Would that I were in his place,' (11) and till the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it (rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when: (As Allah said,) 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith.' 'No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before, nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith.' (6.158) And the Hour will be established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth but will not be able to eat it." Bukhari 9.237
