MashahAllah , yes the en d of Surah Ibraheem is amazing... the whole surah is but specially from the ayaat about ibraheem alihi salam all the way to the end its just too emotional , n when recited right it can definetly touch one very deeply.
I used to live in al nahda 2 area in dubai , we had two masjids close to house , even though they were not that close , i mean we had to go to either one by car, but the very confusing thing was that both the imams had exceptional recitation , One was egyptian sheih abu yahya n the other sheikh adil hameed as sabri of yemen ( He has got quiet some recitations on youtube by the way) so everytime i would go out for Jahri salahs i would be confused where to go coz i loved them both.
But yes when ever shekh abu yahya Used to recite beautifully in fajr , he would choose like surah Qaaf , zumar , hadeed , and ibraheem very often even though he would rrcite from all over the quran, but i remmber when he would recite Surah ibraheem we used to have a pin drop silence in masjid after salah. I wish u guys could hear it , his voice still echoes in my ears n i miss him a lot as we have moved to ajman. I will try to see if some of my friends have any recordings of him n try t o upload it InshahAllah. He has awsome khutbas as well , We expect the brother to be on good n on the sunnah , the way he delivers tawheed is just amazing n one of the only two imams in UAE who do not recite ( beautify) their voice in making duaa al qunoot in witr inramadan, he would just make duaa like the duaa of jumah , as there is no evidence by the Propehet or companions that they would recite the duaa as quran is recited or beautify their voice like they do with quran for dua.
Also Salah bu khatir lead a beautiful surah ibraheem this year and last year in taraweeh , i remmber in 2008 ramadan at the end of surah ibraheem the whole masjid was crying and even salah bu khatyir could not recite any more , he would try but words wont come out , it was with great difficulty that he said those ayaat n went in rukoo "and that they may know that He is only One God, and that men of understanding may take heed" i mean b ythe time he reached those ayaat he was completely broken down n the whole masjid as well.
