I heard that Sheikh Shuraim was giving a khutbah and he spoke out against the Saudi Government. And then the govt got mad and they threatened to throw him out of the haram and not be the imam anymore. But then Sudais came in and said that Shuraim is the most pious and that if Shuraim left, then he would leave also. And that forced them to leat Shuraim stay in the haram.
I think thats pretty cool how Sudais got Shuraims back but have you guys heard that story. Do u kno if its true?
 
jazakallah najiullah. sheikh ghamadi's first khtbah in haramain was beautiful........ oh how i cant wait for sheikh mahir to become khateeb!

who gave azan and iqamah for jumah yesteday????

I don't think that its true brother shakoor but they gave sheikh shuraim a house arrest so to sheikh huthaify sudais thubayti etc.

i dont know about ur specific story, but a few years ago (like 2001-2002) when the govt wanted to introduce tourism he spoke out against it and was reported suspended but came back after a while.

Salatul Istisqa being led again on Monday, May Allah swt accept their duas and grant them rainfall..Ameen..it makes me so sad when people here complain about the rain and there they have to pray for it :(

Also Surah Ibraheem is popular at the moment nah lol! Shaykhs Shuraym, Thubaity, Ghazzawi and Huthaify have all read from it in the last 2 days :p :thumbs_up

Shaykh Ghamdi sounded different though..

Does anyone know if i can find a translatoion of Shaykh Sudays' Khutbah on Yawm ul Hajj?

Shaykh Humaid hasn't give Khutbah for quite a while now, nice to see him back Alhamdulillah!

Does anyone know if i can get a translation of Shaykh Sudays' Khutbah from 21st December? Any help would be appreciated! JazakAllah Khayr

Yeah Shaykh Humaid came to the university a lil while ago and so did the Mufti of Saudi, dont know if i mentioned that. And they held talks.

Im not sure if anyone of you have seen this, but i found it nice. I had only heared audio of it before but now I got to see a video
