I used Wavepad. It's available for download from here: http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/
Shaikh Shuraim's first 10 Rakat recording (Surah Aal Imran: 93-168):

Recorded by connecting the radio to the laptop. Couldn't get better quality than this.

I have that program, but I thought it's just for editing sound clips and making them clearer. Can you record using the same program? Did you connect with a wire to the radio or just a mic in a quiet room?
It has an option for recording too. I used a cable similar to this one:It wasn't as long as this one. And it was the mobile phone's FM radio, not the conventional radio.

AsSalamu3alaikum
Ramadan kareem everyone.
Has anyone noticed that Sheikh Maher changed his recitation style? In the previous years he used to prolong the vowels more. This year he is reciting like the rest of the other shuyookh.
I found the record option, but the only thing is it doesn't allow you to listen and record simultaneously.
There's a beautiful program on iqra called "Daa3y as samaa2". They interview one of the muathins of haramain during each program. It's at 2:00 am and the repeat is at 12:00pm the next day.

Today it was one of the muadhins of Masjidun Nabawi, Abdul Muttalib Saalih Najdi (I'm not that familiar with names of Madinah Muadhins). He said he became a muadhin when he was 15 years old, and has been muadhin at the Haramun Nabawi for 50 years. They were also talking about the old days when there were only four minarets, no air conditioning and none of the sound systems there are now, and played some old recordings. He mentioned the muadhin Esam Bukhaari's name a bit, but I couldn't understand what that was in respect to, and it buffered. I think he also said that there have been 46 different muadhins that he remembers.
He has also had the honour of giving one adhan in Masjidul Haraam.
I hope someone will correct me if I understood any of it wrong.

May Allah love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had switched Madeenah off after the first 10, but while Sheikh Ghamidi was reading I was thinking to myself: "Sheikh Aal Sheikh led just yesterday, but I'm missing his recitation already". So it seems that they sharing the "third" night last 10.
Jazakillah Khair for your post![]()
