Muslim Contributions to Science
In the 7th-13th centuries C.E., the Islamic world was in the midst of its "Golden Age," paving the way for the growth of modern sciences. Rather than stifling science, the religion of Islam encouraged its study.

The Qur'an and Science
In Islam, there is no conflict between faith in God and modern scientific knowledge. In fact, the Qur'an itself precisely describes many scientific phenomena.

:) The word "alien" itself just means foreign or an outsider; unless you are refering to the fictional version of those things with huge heads and stuff; Yajuj and Majuj are outsiders in one way, the Quran doesn't close the posibility of life existing outside the earth . . . Rather the Quran tells us that there is more than just the old view of the Earth being centre of everything . . . :p Allah know's best . . . Allah know's the contents of the heavens . . . :) Mankind has just about scrached the surface of knowing a little bit about the Earth . . . :p The are many things in the Quran yet to be discovered by Scientists . . . :p

I couldn't get access to Islam.about.com.Please can you paste the info in the thread.

Does the Quran say that life existed before humans came?
Were Adam and Eve created in heaven and transported physically to Earth or were souls transportd to the bodies of homo sapiens?
Is there a mention of homo sapiens in the Quran?

Does the Quran speak about space flight?

heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!
