Marhaban shabab:D
erm Madhaa Yahduth? lol

I browsed through a couple of pages but didnt come across a thread where we could write something and then one of the more fluent brothers or sisters could help us out in how to say it in arabic, or even the meaning of something that we learnt in arabic:) inshaAllah:)

So here we go...the term 'shabab' is that pure arabic or not? I was told it meant guys ie, 'hello guys'

Or did i just make my self look like a fool infront of the arab speakin bro's lol
:w:

I thought Shabab was youth? Not 'Hello you guys' LOL

Yes it does mean youth, but sometimes todays Arabs use it as that term 'guys'

But no it' doesn't mean Hello you guys lol.....that would need some other words added on to it.

^ Insert a 'Yaa' inbetween Marhaba and Shabaab and you got it :)

^ shway shway!!??

When I was in Yemen that seemed like that was the very first word that the foreigners would learn besides the word ' Laa '

They would ask, can you speak Arabic?

Answer : Shway Shway

It means : a Little bit

But if you were to translate it directly it would mean : Little Little

Easy would be : Sahl

:sl:
shway shway to that then:p well i get confused because my teachers ahem..sometimes they teach me pure words, other times its slang or from a different dialect lol.shway shway me thinks means easy in somewhere in swahili? :p i just dont know...not so shway shway after all
