Malay Language for beginners....

I checked up quickly the agencies offers for this summer and - don't get angry - Malaysia its only in package with other countries, like this one:
KUALA LUMPUR – SINGAPORE – BALI – KUALA LUMPUR - 1.600 euro + plane tickets and so on. One day trip in KL.

or

Australia-New Zeeland-Malaysia-Singapore for 5040 euro and from your coutry the tourist will see only KL for one day :-\

or

One week in Hotel J W Mariott 5* from KL for 475 euro + plane tickets.

Conclusion: The jungle is not here. Only KL - the town of lights :-[

Just KL... for 1 day!!!! :blind:

You'll be missing lots of great places such as Langkawi, Tioman, Kelantan, Sarawak, Penang, Sabah, Malacca and National Park.

No wonder there are no Romanian tourists around.

Malaysia is famous among Asians, Arabs, British and Germans only.

The best is to go after your head, without any agency. Take pocket money, buy the tickets and be free to see what ever you wish. This agencies are stuck in towns where the tourist have almost 0 things to see. I am not a big fan of architecture and i don't like the tall buildings.

After reading all that stuff about K.L. I"m having second thought of staying by myself :uuh: Maybe I"ll just stay with my Aunt who is in Putrajaya after all :giggling:

Tania, are you coming? then we can visit Syilla together

Ohh, no. This autumn we have construction in the schedule to improve life conditions. But one day i will go there:happy: i am sure about that and i will tell you in advance.

KLIA is like 1 hr ride from KL... plus lots of tolls... but I've heard ERL is the best way to reach KL. And it cost about RM30.00 right?

KLIA 1 hour from KL? What are you driving, bro, a Murcillago?

KLIA from Kajang is 2 hours and that is like going to Seremban.

By the way, bukankah ini sepatutnya thread untuk Bahasa Malaysia? Mana perginya bahasa kebangsaan kita ni?

2 hours? I've been there twice and my friends drove me there not more than an hour if I'm not mistaken (but they did speed on the way there).... but it's been a while.... hmmmm:confused:

Well, English (or should I say Manglish) language is now part of Malaysian life too.... maybe we should neutralise English Language to be Malaysian citizen.:hiding:

Malay is an ethnic group.
Malaysia is the name of a country.

Malay language is a majority language in Malaysia.

But since all ethnic groups must learn Malay Language, the government called it as Bahasa Malaysia (Malaysian Language) to make it more appealing and accepted among non-Malays.

Inside Malaysia it's called as Malaysian Language... but outside Malaysia, it's Malay Language.

In fact Indonesian Language itself is Malay Language.

Putrajaya is a good place to stay. Except the living costs are still expensive, it is a new town afterall.

It has mall, markets, restaurants, post office, government services and etc.

But it is still far away from other part of the cities.

It is a 'hot' town, still not enough trees there.

Here is some of the pictures.

The food in Putrajaya is more expensive than KL. People should wear hats or bring umbrellas as it's too hot. As syilla said, there are not so many trees.

In certain times, you can visit the Prime Minister residence... I've been there once.... it's lovely.

But one thing that made me sad, after I visited the mosque, me and my family when to the lakeside to take pics of the palaces... and in one place (near to the boat ride jetty) some shops turn on loud techno music... and those shops are very close to the mosque. :thumbs_do

It was a great idea to build the mosque near to the lake. Contempletion in a sacre building. I could sit there without problems.:sunny:
