I'd say number 2. Here is why: 1 would be caused via mutation, which is understandable and 3 is like a defense mechanism. 2, I don't know what the hell that cat thinks it is doing, so it must be silly.

Good lord, this isn't the place for serious questions. But, we'll try getting an answer (what I really mean is a laugh for me)

If you take time to think about every action you perform in a day then this would mean that you live a very logical life. Reality is that yes we do plan certain causes of actions, however there are moments of randomness, or error if you're a pessimist, when we act on impulse.

Certainly, there is also the matter of fate which is usually out of our hands (though, certain theories would say we do contribute to this) but can structure our daily life depending on what happens.
