I think the following few lines are from Ibn Qayyim's Nooniyyah, the part that goes over the description of Paradise. Can somebody please translate it :-[

Yes that's obviously from the Nooniyyah....hmmm....I'll see if I can ask my sister Mawaddah to translate it Insha'allah.

P.S. she said okay :p

Have you heard the audio?

I got it on my phone now.

Just part 1 was over 11 minutes

Dang

I do wonder if you can jus add 'ani' to the end of every word though?

I didn't read over it first but my sis just did and she said that it's not a poem on the descirption of paradise brother,It's a poem on how Ibn Qayyim (or whoever the opem is talking about) will stand up for the al kalimah of Allah, so do you still want it translated?

:w:

(edit, i mean the part posted up isn't about paradise)

Tha'ts part of the genius of Ibn qayyim masha'allah!

He arranged it so that all of the words are words wihich end in 'nuun'

that's why it's called nooniyyah

the whole thing is about more than an hour I think...

Well, Im totally confused, this is why I need to learn arabic.

I dont get the geniousness behind arranging words that end with nun at the end of a line.

I mean when it comes to his books, then boy I do agree he is pretty amazing ALHAMDULILAH.

But I dont get the poetry.

:arabic6:

I will fight against Your (Allah) enemies for as long as you allow me to remain (on this earth)
And I make this declaration of war against them as my mission

I will expose all of those leaders of State
And I will strip them of their skins (of deceit) with my tongue (i.e. words)

I will expose those secrets which were hidden from
The weak ones of Your creation, by using clear evidence

And I will follow them upto wherever they may go to
Until it will be said "Distance yourself!" (from us)

And I will stone them with the words of True guidance
As how the expelled devils are stoned with shooting stars

I will waylay their plots and plans
And I will beseige them at wherever place they may be

And I will advance upon them with soldiers
Soldiers who will not turn away in flight when faced with the enemy

(These soldiers are) The Revelation,The Fataraat (mans instinct)
And Matters perceivable to the mind, And those (matters) which have been recorded (from the Prophet) with Ihsaan

Then it will become clear to he who has intelligence, who is The One Who
Is of Most High Importance, revealed to him from evidence of clarity and intelligence

And I will counsel first Allah, then His Messenger
And His Book and the Laws of our Shari'ah

If my Lord so wills then by His Might it will all be
And If he does not will it, Then (know) that All matters (are in the Hands of) The Most Merciful.

Awesome words Masha'Allah. It's this that sets Ibn Qayyim on a level of his own. May Allah have mercy on him.

Jazakillah Khair for the excellent translation Sister Mawaddah :)

Can you post up the audio bro? ^

:sl:

Sorry there was a mistake in the first line but I changed it :D It was supposed to be 'mission' and not 'goal'

So where is the part about Paradise brother? Post it up please so that I can translate it, I'm interested, Jazakallah khair

I found this on another forum where the poster said it was the part about Jannah..so I assumed it was that part. If I find it anywhere Insha'Allah Ill post it here.

Jazakillah Khair :)

:sl:

I think this part is about the fruits of Jannah?

:sl:

Here is another part :-[ I think the first line is saying something "...Arabic is the best of Languages"

ولقد أتى أثر بأن لسانهم بالمنطق العربي خير لسان
لكن في إسناده نظرا ففيــه راويان وما هما ثبتان
أعني العلاء هو ابن عمروثم يحــيى الأشعري وذان مغموزان

:sl:

MashaAllah...Good Translation Maw!

Here's the Jannah description part in Audio

Here: .. for whoever wants to listen InshaAllah :)
