I thought it will be fun to have a riddle thread. where we can screw our brains out to come up with the answers of posted riddles.

iam sure all of you have tried or solved riddles at some point in your lives and if you haven't i gurantee you will find to be enjoyable and fun thing.

Lol, that is a classic riddle. Known as the "riddle of the sphinx" one of the earliest riddles ever written. Possibly the only thing around here that is older then me.

It's just that I am old enough to understand the implications of the riddle! ;D

This is not easy trust me!!!

Ok i'm new here, just logged in after a bit of hassle but i have a few hard riddles for you.
This riddle had me going for hours, try it
Good Luck, lets see how long it takes you!!!

A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

My guess is that he said nothing.
That way his statement was neither true (worth 4 years), nor false (worth 6 years), and was let free instead!

Close, very Close but not quiet the answer i'm looking for, the answer is a bit more than that. Try again!!!:) :)

Hhmmm ... it must be a statement that's neither true nor false ... :?

I can't think.
We are going on a bike ride with the children, and it will probably bother me the whole time! ;D ;D

Perhaps somebody else will come up with the answer in the meantime.
If not, don't give it away yet! :X

hmm... very complicated well if i was the man i would say " i love you ur highness and am forever in ur dept, thnk u for freing me" wel if dats not the answer oh well :giggling: i tried my best dis riddle is eating my brains out!!!;D

it just pops in my head and find myself trying to figuring out!!!

oh well the man will have to say something smart or flattering so that the king will let him go.

something like " oh my king i have respect for u and will therefore accept any decision u may make upon my fate, and u r no doubt a man of true judgement." (kings like those kinda words u know and may think if he doesn't let free the man the people will think of him otherwise)

well that's the flattering bit, iam working on the smart bit. lol

Thats quiet a answer you know and the flattery would probably work on most kings, but keep working on the smart bit cos you need logic for this riddle
