QUIZ: How much SUNNAH do U KNOW?!?!?

as salaamu alaykum,

okay then jazakAllah for that Dhul!

Here's the question asked by Sis Nidita guys!!:

Well....... can u give me da sunnah of BATHING, inshaAllaah, PLZZZZZ........ ??!!!!

wassalaams

:salamext:

There are seven obligatory baths:
Bath for Janabat
Bath for Hayz (for women only)
Bath for Nifas (for women only)
Bath for Istihaza (for women only)
Bath for touching a dead body
Bath for a dead body
Bath which becomes obligatory on account of a vow or an oath to perform it.

HOW GHUSL IS PERFORMED

According to the practice of the Prophet, upon whom be peace, the correct manner of performing ghusl is:

Both the essential and voluntary acts are now integrated here below to demonstrate how the Prophet (Peace be upon him) used to perform the ghusl:

A. Intend by heart to perform ghusl - and say Bismillah.
B. Wash both hands up to the wrists three times.
C. Wash one’s sex organs.

D. Perform wudhu
except that the washing of feet would be delayed until later, when the rest of the body is bathed.

E. Pour water over the head three times, massaging the hair to
allow the water to reach its roots.

F. Pour water liberally over the entire body, starting with the
right side and then the left, ensuring that no part of the body is left untouched by water, including armpits, inside the earlobes, inside the navel, between fingers and toes etc.,

NOTES:

1.A woman performs ghusl just as the man does, except that if
she has plaited hair, she need not undo it. She only needs to throw three handfuls of water over her head.

2.After completing the ghusl a person may recite the
supplication for concluding the ghusl, which should be

yes inshaAllah...

BEGINNING WITH THE NEAREST TO YOU:
The prophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said regarding charity "wabda' bi man ta3uul"
start with those that you provide for
(guys i don't have my books i'll fill in the sa7aabi when i get home inshaAllah)

Abu mas3uud al badri said that that the messenger of Allah alayhi salaatu wassalaam said "tge one that gives to his family and seeks the reward from Allah is like giving charity, muslim.

CHARITY ISN'T JUST MONEY:

Also hadeeth "kullu ma3ruufin sadaqah 7atta an talgaa khaak bi wajhin talq sadaqah" every good action is charity, even meeting your brother with a happy face is charity. (2 B filled in later inshaAllah)

GIVING ANYTHING EVEN HALFA DATE:

prophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said "fear the fire/protect yourselves against the fire even with half a date,
thats narrated by Adee bin 7aatim radhiyaAllahu anhu.

And the hadeeth brother chacha was referring to was hadeeth abee hurayra in bukhaari and muslim the seven that will be in the shade of Allah....and one of them was the one that his left hand didn't know what his right hand was giving, muslim, (i think its in bukhaari too not sure)

WHO ITS GIVEN TO:
Allah ta3aal says in surat tawbah " verily charity is for the poor and the needy, and the ones that are employed to collect the charity, and to those whos hearts it'll win that have embraced islam recently, and to free the captured ones, and to those who have debt, and those fighting in Allahs cause, and the traveller, a duty from Allah and Allah is the all knower all wise.
(60)

thats all i have for now,

wassalaam
Jk for the info sis

wa iyyaka (the same to you) , baarakaAllahu feek,
Janaabah

Hadeeth abee hurayrah in Bukhari and muslim.

al7aydh/menstauation+ isti7aadha

Hadeeth Aisha radhiyaallahu anhaa "if your period comes, then leave the salaah and when its time passes, wash the blood from yourself and pray"
this hadeeth applies to the musta7aadhah too, but she doesn't need to wash for every prayer, as for Umm Habeebah, the wife of the rpophet alayhi salaam she used to wash from her own preferance, and the rpophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam didn't order her.

Nifaas

the scholars agreeunanimously that its waajib/obligatory.

Touching the dead body/one who washes a dead person

Ibn 3umar said "we used to wash the dead, from us was he who washed after (washing the dead) and from us was he who didn't" Ibn 7ajar declared it sa7ee7.

Vow/oath

i've never heard that you have to wash for this akhee....do you have a hadeeth please?

wassalaam

ok next question:

sunnah in writing letters.

wassalaam

Niiiiice Question sis!! This is something which is not really researched and known is it? But Masha'allah :thumbs_up

So some of the Adab (etiquette) in writing letters is :

The Person should start first with The Basmalah (saying bismillah) and mentioned some of Allahs names.

And then he can say " Amma Ba3d " . I remember Layla and Aisha bint ash-Sheikh giving me some fawaai'd on this, and it is disputed as who is the first person who came up with this word.....some say Daawud and some say Muhammad Alaihissalam...but the most important thing is that it is a noble form of speech :)

ermmm.....Is there anything else? :?

as salaamu alaykum,

Yeah, that's what I also have aswell, that the Basmalah is Sunnah!..

you can also use the hadeeth, when the Prophet salalaahu 3alayhi wasallam sent the letter to the King of Rome!!
he started the letter with bismillah...
The Ulamah have also extracted from this hadeeth that it is also Sunnah to write...from ------- to---- @ the beginning of the letter!! like the Prophet salalaaahu 3alayhi wasallam done...

Min: Muhammed ibnu 3abidillah... ilaa: 3atheem ar-Ruum....

^ yeah that's what I know also sis

So are you going to do the next question? I dont have any interesting ones in mind right now :?

P.S. when are those muraaja3ah threads coming? ;)

as salaamu alaykum,

next question...I've kinda run out...lemme think for a while... :? :X

and those threads...oh yeah..i'm gonna PM you guys about them InshaAllah..."now"!! ;)

as salaamu alaykum,

Okay Next Question InshaAllah:

The Sunnah of treating/accomodating a Guest/traveller!!??

Wokay!!!

Hadeeth number one :

Rasullullah said in the Hadeeth by Abi Hurairah: Man Kaan Yu'minu Billahi Walyaumil Aakhiri Falyukrim Dhayfah
"Whichever one of you Beleives in Allah and the Last day then let him honor his guest "

And in the Hadeeth of Abi Shuraih, Khuwailid bin 3amr , He said, I heard Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam saying " Whoever beleives in Allah and the Last Day then let him Honor his Guest With Jaa'izatuhu" We said " O Rasulullah , What is Jaa'izatuhu ? " He said " His Day, and His night, And the period of serving a Guest is for 3 days, and whoever extends his service to his guest for longer than that, then it is Sadaqah from the Host "

Ok next Question :

What is the Sunnah and Adab for a Teacher towards his Students? :)

as salaamu alaykum,

Id like to add to the question I gave..

The Sunnah of treating/accomodating a Guest/traveller!!??

When makin' them food, it should be more than they'd actually eat...in qissat ibraahim when the Malaaikah/disguised as travellers cam to his house...
he slaughtered for a big fat calf... like it says in qawlhuu ta3aalaa... fa jaa bi 3ijilin haneed

and it's also from the adab to place the food/plate infront of them so they can be able to reach it without any difiicultness..
daleels' from the same qissah,
qawluhuu ta3aala... fa qarrabahuu ilayhim qaalaa alaa ta'kuluun..:and then he broght it (the food/plate) closer to them and said: are'nt you going to eat!!?

Allah knows best InshaAllah!!

nice fawaa'id here girls!!

Ok sis

What is the Sunnah and Adab for a Teacher towards his Students? :)

wow mashaAllah nice question sis...

patience
Ok i guess patience is a big one, we have to remember that we all started off not knowing anything as Allah taaala says "wa Allahu akhrajakum min butuuni ummahtikum la ta3lamuuna shay'aa"
and Allah brought put from your mothers womb, not knowing anything..
and stories from the salaf are so plentiful....

Repetition
Which is why in countless ahaadeeth the rpophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam used to repeat his words like hadeeth "laa taghdab...don't be angry" he repeated this,
also hadeeth "a laa wa qawl azzuur" hadeeth abee bakrah (right) he repeated it so many times..

adressing them with kindness

Ibnu Abaas may Allah be pleased with him said that he was riding behind the prophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam when he said "ya ghulaam" o young boy "innee ualllimuka kalimaatin....alhadeeth"

3itaab/punishment

In hadeeth mu3aadh when the rpophet said to him " a fattaanun anta yaa mu3adh" are you a tempter/troublemaker o mu3aadh.."
and also when he said to abu Dharr "innaka rajulun feeka jaahiliyyah"
verily you are a man that still has ignorance in him...

Recognising their efforts
when abu hurayra may Allah be pleased with him asked the rpophet about the fire and he said that at that time everyone was asking about jannah, the rpophet alayhi salaatu wassalaam said "o abu hurayrah, i know that you would ask these questions because of the way you preserve, keep the sunnah.."
He recognised him for his hard work... and dedication to the sunnah...

hope thats ok inshaAllah sis

baarakaALlahu feek
