Yes right, I always do 11 rakaah also, and two rakaah in each salah. And the last 1 witr. But I saw the hadeeth about Rasulullah doing tarawih till 23 rakaah, even more Do U ever hear about this ukh?
Did you actually read the hadeeth which states that Rasulullah prayed 23 Rak'ah Akhi? Because to the best of my knowledge, the hadeeth which mentioned the amount of Raka3aat which Rasulullah prayed states 11 Rak'ah. Allahu A3lam maybe I just dont know the hadeeth? :?
As far as I know, The 23 Rak'ah started from the time of Khalifah Umar (Ridhwaan Allah Alaih) And it is said that he started the practise of 23 Rak'ah because he wanted to make the recitation lighter for the Muslims and so that they would bow and prostrate more.
Sheikh al-Islaam ibn Taymiyyah says that if a person wants to make 11 Rak'ah or 23 Rak'ah or even more than that duringst Qiyaam al-Layl then there is no problem with that and it is all good, Because Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam did not specify any amount of Rak'ah to be prayed duringst Taraaweeh, Rather the Only thing Rasulullah said was "
Mathnaa Mathnaa " Which means "
Pray Two (Rak'ah) Two (Rak'ah) " And Rasulullah did not set any certain amount of Raka'aat to be prayed duringst Ramadhan or any other time.
Mm yes...theres hadith about this. Its said if a man and a woman who cant have tarawih with Imam, and then they do it them self at home. then they will be written as a man and a woman who like dhikr to Allah. And the hadith sah, but I dont remember tha takhrij.
Maybe if you have time you can tell us more about this Insha'allah, I know there is Ikhtilaaf about this and some people say that it's better to pray with the Imaam and some say it's better to pray alone....I think Sheikh Muqbil had the opinion that it was better to pray Alone.
Dont you know???
Theres a hadith thats the best food for sahr is a date too...ketinggalan kereta you niii ukhti ;D . Nono...kidding. But yes the best food in sahr is also dates. Please correct me if Im wrong. I will bring you proves from the hadith and takhrij if you want
oh: . I dont remember now.
Nope, I never knew

first time I'm hearing this, What I knew was that the best type of food for Iftaar is the Ratb , Ratb is the fresh dates, and then if there's no fresh dates then the "Tamr" Which are dried dates.
So...me...if I heard adhan subh then I think thats haram to eat again. Except if I havent finish my food then I know theres hadith that I should finish my food and continue eating, its ok. And ukhti, you should know, subh in Indonesia is still dark. You can still see the sky full with stars, and theres no red colour or white colour in the horizon. Still dark. I know its too early but the government have put the time. And as I know the fatawa is we should follow the government. What do U think about this?
No I
didn't mean that a person should still eat and drink after the Adhaan, No No, I'm sorry I made a mistake in my previous post, Because once the Adhaan is called then we should stop eating. But what I was indicated towards was the time in which the Adhaan should be called. Actually what people do these days; calling the Adhaan so early whilst it is still dark and all of that, is bid'ah because Allah has allowed for the fasting person to eat and drink until we can see the beginning of Dawn, and also from the hadeeth of Ibn Maktoum:
"Bilaal gives the adhaan at night, so eat and drink until you hear the adhaan of Ibn Umm Maktoom, for he does not give the adhaan until dawn comes"
We can see that Ibn Maktoum called the Adhaan when it was Dawn, i.e when you could distinguish between the bright and dark outlines in the sky. But since the Adhaan over there calls so early then you just have to go along with the Adhaan and stop eating isn't it :rollseyes But it's wrong for the government to place the fajr time so early that's all.
Can you exlain to me what this hadith mean yaa ukhti. You mean Bilal do adhan maghrib and Isha? Or you mean Bilal do adhan subh and Ibnu Umm Maktoom do the qomat? And I know in subh theres two adhan right, does in Yemen they do two adhan in subh? .
What the hadeeth means Akhi is that there are two Adhaans for Fajr, the first Adhaan which Bilaal gave whilst it is still dark, and the second Adhaan which Ibn Maktoum gave when Dawn had broken. And yes in Yemen they gave two Adhaans
Okay shall I give the next Question then Insha'allah?
Q.
What is the Ruling on Practising Wisaal in Fasting? (Wisaal is joining of the fasts without breaking in between )
