I forgot to say "in Punjabi." I don't know who's fighting but I definitely wasn't.

It's called by both names. I think Punjabis call it Tukh malanga. Thats prolly why I never heard of "balanga." Mostly Punjabi speakers in my family.

I know what it means, but thnx.

anyhow I am curious about miso soup.. never had it.. can someone here tell me about it?

oh, miso soup.
It must be consumed when it is still steaming hot, and served before appetizers/main course. The taste is very refreshing, it's a little bit on the sour side. I personally really like it. It's quite hard to describe the taste actually, as I can't think of anything else that compares to its taste, and I've consumed great great types of food/drink.
It's a standard fare of any japanese restaurant, and here in Jakarta there are so many of them.

I just bought me a five variety pack from amazon.. they don't use alcohol in these do they? I am really looking forward to it.. I usually like soups with more soup and less filling..
I was reading about how healthy the wakame is but at the same time the worst invasive species (lol)

:w:

from when I last had it, miso soup is quit watery, and can range from not-bad to great tasting, depends on what goes in.

i like warm watery soups.. sometimes when I make a cup o noodles, I throw the noodles out just to drink the processed high sodium water left behind..

I need salty things, but I don't like contradictory flavors.. in other words I don't like things that are both sweet and salty at the same time.. I don't like dinner type food that are sweet in general.. only desert should be sweet.. does that make sense?

i had abit of food yesterday wasnt exotic as some of the dishes posted but alhamdulilah

you find fava beans be zayt 7ar exotic? :haha:

I must admit though, Malaysian food isn't anything my mind can conceive!
