I have more snow pictures. A blizzard hit us this morning and is still raging. It has subsided a bit now, so at least I can see out the window. There went my plowed drive way.

the pictures look like a white background but that is snow falling visibility is maybe 100 feet. Earlier you could only see one or 2 feet distance.
:sl:
These snow pictures remind me of Little House on the Prairie, for some reason...this is what my mind always conjured when I'd read those books as a kid. (Minus the car, of course lol.)

Spectacular! Thanks for sharing!

Good reason. Laura Ingalls Wilder lived in this area. The original "Little House on the Praire" was about 100 miles south west of here. The house we live in here was built while she was still alive.

The house is basically a log cabin, the vinyl siding was added about 5 years ago. The horse shed is still original.

OOPs not 100 miles SW from here. About 100 miles SW of when we are down in Sioux City, Iowa. But all of the prairie States all look alike.

Today I went out into the yard to survey the damage done by yesterdays blizzard. But, the beauty of the snow drifts far out weighed the damage. Mashallah, what beauty.

Oh, wow! That's quite the coincidence, and very interesting!

The new snow drift pics are really a testament to Allah's Might. So much snow, so much beauty...and it can be such a force on people's lives. MashaAllah.

The force of a blizzard is unbelievable. Winds about 60 to 70 MPH and snow so heavy it looks like fog. Because of the extreme cold the snow dosen't form big flakes, just little tiny crystals that blow right through your clothing. the inside of the car was filled with snow, that blew in through tiny cracks in the weather stipping.

Fortunatly we did not have any serious damage and today a strager dropped by and plowed the drive way for us.

The roads still are not cleared though. We are far out away from any towns so our poor dirt road is low priority. It will be several days before the roads out here are plowed and we can get into town. some of the drifts over the roads are over 20 feet high. I believe we got nearly 4 feet of snow yesterday, but a lot of it is blowing off the flat lands and forming gigantic drifts. It looks odd. Looking out from an upstairs window I can see some of the corn fields are blown almost clear and the snow piled up on the roads.

I love the snow pics. Looks like piles of sugar :D I wouldn't mind switching houses for the summer either. Looks like its going to be a hot one.

as the majority of people here are still suffering from cold around the world, I thought that those pictures taken by my brother for his favorite motor in the desert might bring some worm and make u imagine that you are in the desert:)
