How do you add the various effects? Like the explosion one, for example.

Thanks Guys,

The explosion photo was taken with a lens trick. You have to have a slightly long exposure while moving the lens from its longest length inwards or vice versa, depending on the affect you want. Its a great trick to have under your belt

^I see. Kinda hard to accomplish without a DSLR though. What about the ones where the coloring was changed? Bits colored and bits black and white?

That was done with Photoshop techniques. You can search how to do that on the web. Here is one site which can help

Yeah I have heaps more at home on my computer but it takes ages to upload so only upload when I can, InshAllah I will upload more soon and let you know. Glad to see you like them, it helps with my photography confidence

We got back from a week in South Dakota the temps here were in the upper 60s and all of the snow had melted. Today we got some nice fluffy soft snow. I took this pic. I could not get the full quality, but it is like being in one of thse snow globes. Very pretty, my photo does not to it justice.

But all is not over. South Dakota was hit with a very severe blizzard over the past todays. The state is actually closed, the roads are impassable. We were supposed to be back there tomorrow, but now we will wait it out here in Minnesota.
