Our newest horse. We bought him yesterday. He is still at the sellers Ranch. Took these Pictures yesterday at the ranch. His name is Reflections and he is 6 years old.

He has fantastic markings and is very much championship material, however he is no longer show grade, he lost an eye in an accident. Because he is no longer show quality we got him for a very low price.

He is a miniature only 38 inches tall. Strictly a show breed, not for working. We will be using him for advertising.

awww...its just a lil pony ^_^

The miniature are a separate equine species from ponies. They are actually from a line of full size horses. There are a very large number of equines such as Horses, ponies, zebras, donkeys etc. In horses thers are seperate varieties such as Quarter, Walkers, Dressage, Draught. The miniatures come from those lines. "Reflections" is classified as a miniature Quarter with Paint and Appaloosa markings.

I love the name Reflections. :)

We got him from Broken M "New Horizon's" ranch. He was named "Reflections" as he was expected to become a Champion like his parents.

This is his father:

A little about Reflections from the ad we found him in.

Broken M's Painted Reflection

Gorgeous homozygous bay and white tovero stallion
AMHR division A

Sire-Flying A Magics Black Tie Affair
Dam-Broken M's Painted Princess

Excellent level topline and overall conformation, very nice neck, pretty face, black eyeliner accenting those big blue eyes! Reflection is destined to sire beautiful, colorful offspring!

When we went out to look at him His mother was far out to pasture. I took a telephoto picture of her from about a mile distance Here she is, but not clear. She is the center horse in the picture.

We are going to use reflections for 2 purpose one is in an ad campaign for our honey business and the other is we are setting up for our horses to be used in a therapeutic program for disabled children. "Reflections" will be used to get the children familiar with a horse before they get placed on a full sized one. Equine therapy has been found to be very beneficial for handicapped children. Inshallah, the Ranch we currently pasture our horses on will eventually benefit children.

Sadly, Refletions lost an eye in an accident and now can no longer be used as a show horse, so he will not be able to reach Championship status, which greatly reduces his value as a breed horse. For that reason we got him at a very low price.

Woodrow, you may know that I work with adults with learning disabilities (mental handicap).

We use equine therapy.
It is great to develop balance, body awareness, confidence, social skills etc etc.

I have spoke elsewhere about feral cats. Feral cats are wild cats descended from domestic cats that were dropped off or runaways and have lived in the wilds for several generations. They have basically reverted back to being a wild species and usually do not tame. Well it seems the females have been finding shelter to have their kittens. I was over working on the house we are refurbishing and up in the attic I found:

Very unusual coloration even for a Calico.
She is much too young to take from her mother. If the mother does not move her kittens out I will try to re catch her again in about 3 weeks and see if I can turn her into a house cat. Very few feral kittens survive out in the open once they are weaned and fending on their own. With the colors on this rascal I suspect she would fast become a meal for an owl the first night she tried prowling. The feral cats that survive tend to be the darker colored ones, like these rascals.

She is lovely, Woodrow.
Have you thoughts of a name yet?

We are a little reluctant to name her at this point. It will be at least a week to 3 weeks before she can be taken from her mother. Much can happen during that time. She may even turn out to be be untameable. Many of the ferals do not tame even when hand raised from a young age. Her mother is very wild and aggressive. I only got this chance to handle the kitten because the mother was off hunting. Even tho they are cute, you have to think of a feral as being a wild animal and not a domesticated house cat.
