am reckoning upon putting in some hard yards of ahadith research to dig up the full set of coinciding words from the Prophet, Peace go with Him always; but can recall a story that he played a musical instrument at a wedding close to pronouncing the word about music;

my own understanding is that song must belong to both immediate location and Soul and then it is Halal

and that is why the American Music industry is counting itself against Muslims who are not singing the songs of the geography of Mecca

however, there is some obvious evidencing of this that folk will need

dare is no doubht in mah mindd dat muzik is haram but a claim like "all muzik is haram" is ludacris.

Singing that is associated by the duff has been agreed upon many scholars to be halal well at least on the day of eid. In the hadith that abu bakr (raa) was forbidding singing with the duff and the prophet (pbuh) allowed it. This maybe not allowed in every occasion but has been on eid and therefore not all music is haram.

Muzik for halal islamic educational purposes for children, some of them learn this way. What if the child is blind and can't see???? As long as allah knows what's in your heart.
