, are you kidding H4RUN, or is someone really taking steroids, I mean through synthetic injections and whatnot, if so then you are correct they are very bad for your health.
However the bodies natural production of steroids is very healthy, if you recall the study I posted which found
'Men in the upper 25 percent of natural testosterone levels had a 41 percent lower risk of dying from heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular conditions, cancer and all other causes, compared to men with the lowest levels...', therefor a eating foods that build the body and by exercising hard you can raise your own steroid hormones and become healthy. Taking synthetic hormones is only for losers who don't have what it takes to work hard and become a real person.
On another note, the old time barbell men were much stronger, more defined and had denser muscle compared to the substance abusing so called bodybuilders of today, they also displayed remarkable longevity. They trained with heavy weights and ate whole foods. By training with heavy weights (6 reps or less) you actually cause the muscle fibers to increase in size, this is what contributes to the muscle looking like a dense granitic rock. By training with high reps and low weights your muscles increase in volume due to its increased capacity to store glycogen for energy, but you don't necessarily gain strength and in time and by not eating like a hog a meal every hour you will lose its size. I prefer functional strength that will help you in day to day situations, I don't prefer to have huge muscles that look as soft as a balloon and are just as weak, all that does is make you is a big weak wimp.
