Umm... that might help you keep of the fat... but I don't see how it will protect against diabetes and high cholesterol?

Not that I can talk much... I eat all that stuff but don't exercise. :hiding:

It's all good for me sis no matter how much i eat i'll never get fat:shade:, just walk to places instead of gettin a lift or takin the bus - then you'll never feel guilty :D

i think personally eat what you want, but just exercise :D

works for me :p

Not every Girls' School has a gym. Slight stretches, 2-minute jogs, small flexions and extensions of the muscles is going to do you no good. Thus, the best solution is to avoid these food.

Since croissants or crisps are not listed, I'm smiling.

:sl:, are you kidding H4RUN, or is someone really taking steroids, I mean through synthetic injections and whatnot, if so then you are correct they are very bad for your health.

However the bodies natural production of steroids is very healthy, if you recall the study I posted which found 'Men in the upper 25 percent of natural testosterone levels had a 41 percent lower risk of dying from heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular conditions, cancer and all other causes, compared to men with the lowest levels...', therefor a eating foods that build the body and by exercising hard you can raise your own steroid hormones and become healthy. Taking synthetic hormones is only for losers who don't have what it takes to work hard and become a real person.

On another note, the old time barbell men were much stronger, more defined and had denser muscle compared to the substance abusing so called bodybuilders of today, they also displayed remarkable longevity. They trained with heavy weights and ate whole foods. By training with heavy weights (6 reps or less) you actually cause the muscle fibers to increase in size, this is what contributes to the muscle looking like a dense granitic rock. By training with high reps and low weights your muscles increase in volume due to its increased capacity to store glycogen for energy, but you don't necessarily gain strength and in time and by not eating like a hog a meal every hour you will lose its size. I prefer functional strength that will help you in day to day situations, I don't prefer to have huge muscles that look as soft as a balloon and are just as weak, all that does is make you is a big weak wimp.

lol, i hope Iqram's not on steroids :p

I see where you are coming from, old school body builders just look different to the newer kids on the block, and im not just talking about the hairstyles:p Even so, most were on the 'gear' at some point, just look through Arnies 'encyclopedia' and you'll understand....Absolutley unreal sized muscles even back then for some of the body builders...

So, what do you recommend to be a good natural food susbtitute for Whey protien and other suppliments more over creatine?
Looking forward to your reply bro.

:salamext:

Why the body builders have to inject steroid in their body? :hmm:

My husband's friend just died overdose :( one month before the tournament .... :(

:sl:

Its nice to see that you folks are interested in the cultivation of bodily strength and functionality, good for you:thumbs_up.
Yes my good friend H4RUN, back in those days the 'juice' or 'gear' or whatever you kids are calling it nowadays was used by many top bodybuilders, in fact I don't believe it was illegal in those days, even in Pumping Iron after the Mr.Olympia was over the contestants including Arnold all passed around and inhaled some kind of plant based mind altering narcotic agent with possible opiet properties :muddlehea which of course wasn't illegal at that time either. Anabolic aids actually were introduced to bodybuilding as far back as the early 1950's. True old school bodybuilding goes back far beyond the 1970's to its little known but magnificent beginnings.
Arnold grew up doing heavy power training and the judges of those days preferred symmetry and definition so the bodybuilders then looked athletic and artistic if not even admirable, since disturbing muscle mass or size is preferred now we have people taking unholy amounts of chemical enhancers and hogging out on 10 meals of sin every day to look like a bunch of muscle bound gorilla apes who are a weak and pathetic as a sickly six year old girl. I don't understand how someone can see themselves as the epitome of manliness and vigor when they have zero confidence in themselves and their potential which causes them to steal the testicular extract of a baboon believing that such a hairy smelly ape possesses greater quantities of anabolic promoting properties then his own self, I don't know whether I should feel resentful or a deep sense of pity to such an individual?

It occurred to me that since many people here are interested in strength training and that there is a lot to talk about, it would seem prudent to begin a new thread specifically for exercising and its related subjects, I am honored that you look forward to my responses, I feel a new thread will give us all the opportunities we need for such a thing and I look forward to answering all your inquiries inshallah.

I was also wandering how I could post some images of the old time barbell men I was referring to, I just can't seem to grasp how its done so I appreciate any help you guys can provide and tell me how to paste an image on a post.

Thanks,

There's a certain line in pumping iron that makes me laugh, it's said by Arnold himself...you may have an idea what i'm talking about, i say no more here lol

Awesome, I knew tuna sandwiches weren't bad for ya!
