Re: where is your ethnicity

oh nice, didn't expect to see such diversity!

I am a javanese

didn't see the option, so I clicked on "other"

I am a javanese
what is "javanese"? I did a google search and got something like "island of java" are from an island? :omg: or did you mean to say japanese? hmm..
I am a Muslim, nothing else really matters to me

yes, muslim or not, your ethnicity or cultural background will definitely have an impact on your life one way or another, so yes it does matter.

I did mean Javanese, not Japanese :)
Javanese population may be similar in number to Japanese population, as javanese are very likely undercounted in population census due to cross-marriages etc. There are 240 millions people living in Indonesia and half of them live in Java.

Are you familiar with Sun Microsystem's Java application?
Well, the name was based on cup of java (europeans and americans familliary refer to coffee as "java" ) as Java exported coffee in 17th century that was liked by europeans and the name stuck since.
However, among coffee connoisseurs today, java coffee is not even the best among Indonesian coffees. The best ones would be Kopi luwak and Toraja coffee and many others before Java coffee.

^^ you must be psychic you answered q's about Java I didn't even post :)

I live in India. My ancestors came to India from Iraq, so what would be my ethnicity?

I voted for Indian though.
