Where did u get your Islamic knowledge frm?

The last Maulana who taught me told me that Shi'a spit in food which they give us during Ramadhan. Ever since, I've lost trust in bearded old men who claim to know everything about Islam because they're dressed like Imams.
 
Masha'Allah! Very interesting posts from brothers and sisters.

When I've reverted, some of my wonderful sisters in my area gave my some of Islamic books and those are very benefical and very helpful for built up my faith. Most of the all books, that the Holy Quran did helped me to increase my knowledge a lots because its made me to learn about Allah Taala and His ways! And also I went to the Masjid for studies Arabic and Quran, etc with my wonderful scholar woman! Alhamdulillah she taughted me to memorized the whole of Quran and I did it. Its THANK to Allah Almighty!

I'm still learning! :D
 
i learned from books of ulamaa and quran and listening to lectures but the best way is learning directly from an imam and i am still doing and trying to memorise the whole quran god willing even i am just in the tenth hizb also learning the rules of tajweed and hadith.
i agree that most parents teach very wrong things about islam and that whether of their ignorance or their wrong understanding of the knowldge that's why it's always good to make sure that our understanding is the right way by reading many sources about the same subjects from the books of ahl sunnah wa ljamaa
may allah teach us what he loves and help to understand it well and work with what we know ameen
 
I recommend that you read the "Islamic Creed Series" by Dr. Umar S. al-Ashqar because this will give you an understand about what we believe in Allah Taala, Angels, Messengers (PBUH) and their Messages, Devils & Jinn, Minor Resurrection, Day of Resurrection, Paradise & Hell, and Divine Will and Predestination.
 
I've learned from teachers at the mosques. (Quran)
Lectures on my phone..(my subjects)
Whenever any of my family members (their younger than me) learn something I encourage them to come home and teach us. That way they get excited because they are the experts on the subject. And they always have to have daleels (where they got the information from etc)
It seemed to help because it creates a learning enviorment within the household.
I learn some things online, but its kind of hard to find reliable sources. So Jazakallah to anyone who put up a website we can go on.

I'm still gathering my knowledge. I try to learn something new every day. I read books, I listen to lectures, and I visit the masjid whenever I am able.

Once I tried to learn too much, and too quickly. I jumped into Islam with both feet because I was so excited about it. I quickly got overwhelmed, and frustrated, and then became angry. I quit everything for a few months.

Now I am trying to find my way back, but I am doing it at my own pace.

firstly my parents then aunt, quran academy, did my quran course frm al ilm institude, lectures by imam anwer al awlaki, muhammad al shareef,kamal makki, and i guess Li too :)

i had learnt my islamic knowledge from many places such as internet webpages like youtube,i had also learnt from islamic scholars and from my islamic school and also by reading islamic books from which i have benifited from

my parents are my first source of Islamic knowledge..
Being born in a religious home having practicing Muslim parents is a great blessing of Allah (SWT) Alhamdullilah

we had a religious environment at our home where we learnt the basics and other necessary knowledge of Islam and with that my parents provided us (me and my siblings) with many Islamic books from childhood and that is from where my interest in reading books began..

my Islamic school and my teachers. i have learned so much about my religion there.

by reading quran with translation , tafseer, hadith books by my self

also i have learned Islamic knowledge from some young muslimas and still learning..

From books, attending dars lectures etc, some from internet where much from IB
 
its took a lot in me not to cry and instead make dua for him. Subhanallah
But like he said, "martyrdom is like a tree" Allah picks who is the next martyr.. Mashallah he was picked.. but it still hurts to lose him.

so true he was just amazing, i watched the video of the last message he gave it reminded me of him :cry:... may Allah grant him jannah ul firdos ameen
