Why and How Non Muslims convert to Islam

It is often very surprisjng at how us Reverts found our way to Islam. It is very rarely because of the influence of Muslim friends. It can only be thought of as awakening from a deep sleep. I think the only things we have in common are a desire to serve Allaah(swt) and it also seems with most of us reading the Qur'an played an important part.

Yes, reading the Quran plays an important part.

My grandfather told me a few days ago about a man he knew. The man was a lawyer and wanted to read the Quran because he thought it would improve his arabic and help him in court. After he finished reading, he converted to Islam.
Unfortunately, the maronite religious leaders of the area where he lived got so angrythat they accused him of committing crimes he did not do and he went to prison. (they can do that, religious leaders are very powerful in Lebanon)

Converting to Islam depends on many factors I know of someone who converted to Islam after reading some books and attendin the masjid...
