Sheikh Abdur Rahmaan as Sudais has been chosen to be the leader of the presidency for the 2 harams after Sheikh Saalih al Husayn resigned due to health-related issues.

Mabrook to Sheikh Sudais & we ask Allah to cure Sheikh Husayn.

:w:

Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, imam and khateeb of the Grand Mosque in Makkah, has been appointed head of the Presidency for the Two Holy Mosques with the rank of a minister, a Royal Court announcement said yesterday.
Al-Sudais, a learned Islamic scholar, replaces Sheikh Saleh Al-Hosain, who had requested higher authorities to relieve him from the position. Sheikh Al-Sudais is known for his melodious Qur’an recitation that has inspired Muslim faithful across the world.
“We have accepted the request of Sheikh Saleh Al-Hosain to be relieved of his position as head of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques because of health reasons and appointed Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais in his place,” Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah said in a royal decree.
Born in 1382H in Riyadh, Al-Sudais memorized the whole Qur’an when he was 12 under the supervision of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Firyan. He graduated from the Faculty of Shariah in Riyadh in 1403H.
Sheikh Saleh Al-Nasser, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Asheikh (present mufti), Sheikh Saleh Al-Atram, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jibrin and Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Dawood are some of his teachers. He was also closely associated with former mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Binbaz.
In 1404H, Sheikh Al-Sudais was appointed imam and khateeb of the Grand Mosque. In 1408H he received his master’s degree from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh. He worked as a lecturer at the College of Shariah in Umm Al-Qura University, which awarded him a doctorate degree in 1416H.
Sheikh Al-Sudais used to deliver lectures on various Islamic topics such as Islamic faith, jurisprudence, Qur’an commentary and Hadith at the Grand Mosque. He also gave Islamic rulings on various issues presented by pilgrims during the Haj season.
He has delivered several lectures inside and outside the Kingdom. During the past two years he visited India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Britain. He has published several research papers on various topics including a message to Muslim women.
Last year, Al-Sudais visited the Higher Institute for Advanced Islamic Studies in Malaysia where he gave a lecture on Islamic civilization in the backdrop of modern challenges. He said Islam was facing challenges from within and outside the Muslim community.

### UNITY ### --- Sheikh Budair Khutba

:sl:

:w:

:sl:

This is a bit of a random question, but I just want to know who delivered Jumua khutbah in Madeenah on 22 July 2011 and on 20 January 2012 :?

:w:

Havent Had Time To Post This Khutbah Summary Of This Weeks Earlier Today But Here It Is And By The Way This Is The First Time I Seen The Staff / 'Asaa' Being Used By Sheikh Talib As They Dont Usually Focus Near His Hand But When He Came Down The Minbar They Also Showed It.

Sheikh Salaah Al Budair
Khutbah Summary For Jummah In Madeenah
Topic: Be United / Unity / Disunity
11/05/2012
Muadhins: Sheikh Omar Sunbul / Sheikh Abdur Rahman Illah Kashukjii

The Respected Shaykh Began The Khutbah By Saying The Following: All Praise Be To Allah, The Lord Of The Worlds, And May Salutations, Prayer, Peace And Blessings Descend Upon His Beloved, The Best Of Creation, Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alayhi Wasalam.

The Respected Shaykh Began Saying That Allah Has Commanded Us To Help And Assist Each Other And Thereafter Mentioning Quran Ayaats As Well As Ahadith Relating To This Throughout The Khutbah. In The Khutbah We Were Told Not Be Cowards And Not To Break Ties With Each Other. The Shaykh Mentioned How Allah Knows Everything And Informed The Gathering As Usual That We Should Fear Allah And Adopt The Quality Of Taqwah.

Allah Has Created Us As One Ummah And We Are All Brothers. We Should All Be United And Not Follow Shaytaans Wishes Of Us Being Separated From Each Other As He Wishes That We Listen And Follow Him In Order To Deviate Us From The Right Path.

‘Oh Believers Abstain From Suspicion, For Indeed Much Suspicion Is A Sin. And Spy Not.’ (49:12)

The Shaytaans Get Together And Ask Each Other What They Have Done Throughout The Day And They All Mention How They Have Made People Do Things Wherein Allah Is Displeased. One Shaytaan Breaks The Ties Of A Husband And Wife And Thereafter He Gets The Praise And Loving By The Shaytaan Because Ties Were Broken. Shaytaan Likes The Separation Of The Ummah And Separating Love Ones.

‘O You Who Believe! Let Not (One) People Laugh At (Another) People Perchance They May Be Better Than They, Nor Let Women (Laugh) At (Other) Women, Perchance They May Be Better Than They.’ (49:11)

The Shaykh Thereafter Said How The Enemies Of Islam Are Propagating Hatred And Thereafter Told The Congregation To Stand United. If We Want Peace In Our Countries And In Our Life We Have To Stand Together. The Shaykh Again Emphasised That We Need To Be United. The Shaykh Then Informed The Gathering To Hold On To The Rope Of The Correct Way And Stay Away From Disunity. Be Servants Of Allah And Be Brothers Although In The Newspapers And Tv The Disunity Of Muslims Are Highlighted Often.

'Every Good Deed Is Sadaqah (An Act Of Charity). Indeed It Is A Good Deed To Meet Your Brother With A Pleasant Face And To Pour Water From Your Pail Into His Pot.’ (Tirmidhi)

Our Unity Is Amanah That We All Share And Its Our Responsibility The Shaykh Added. We Should Take The Right Precautions To Save Our Deen And Be One Ummah So We Can Get Peace. The Enemies Want To Take Away Unity And Allah Has Forbid Us From Having Enmity From Each Other. We Should Bring The Quality Of Sabr And Patience In Addition To Bringing The Quality Of Taqwah So That We Can Become Successful.

‘None Of You Will Believe Until He Loves For His Brother That Which He Loves For Himself.’ (Bukhari)

Don’t Frighten Or Hut Muslims And Build Bridges Which Are Broken And Mend The Hearts Of The People Which Are Broken As Islam Teaches Us We Should Stand Together. Peace And Salutations Upon The Beloved Prophet Of Allah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasalam And Then The Shaykh Ended The Second Khutbah By Praying For The Khulafaa E Rashideen, Praying For The Ummah At Large, Praying For Respect, Ease, Unity, The People Of Syria And All Those That Are Suffering Throughout The Entire World, The Oppressors And That Allah Helps And Assists Us. The Shaykh Also Mentioned In The Dua The People Of Palestine, Baitul Maqdis, The Jews And That Allah Elevate Us And Give Us Independence And Goodness In The Hereafter.

[HD] Videos Are Just Wicked To Watch Especially Todays Makkah Videos - Reminds Me Of When Sheikh Hussayn Read Surah Jummah And Surah Munaafiqoon As Todays Jummah Was Longer Than Usual.

So I went to Umrah like 3-4 weeks ago Alhamdullilah and it was amazing. Here's a little about my pursuits in meeting the Imams.

So I managed to say salam to Sh. Taleb from a small distance and same with Sh. Maher. Unfortunetly, my time there was limited so my opportunites were also few. But I managed to get myself into some cool places aH.

Let's start off with trying to meet Imam Sudais. I had prayed Isha and I was chilling in and around the Haram. I decided to find a nice looking person from the religious police that stand around the Haram helping people, asking questions, and telling the people what to do and what not to do. I managed to find a very nice young guard masha'Allah who i started speaking to. I introduced myself to him and asked him about the Imams and said that I intended to meet them and that I'm from over seas. He explained that they come and leave from the King's Palace and meeting them like that would be difficult. He suggested I go to Umm Al Qura. I said thank you and I asked him where the Hilton Towers are because that is where Imam Sudais has a charity running. He was really surprised, like how did you know about that?! I laughed it off and said a friend had told me. So he's like, I'll take you there and he took me all the way there masha'Allah. Loved this brother, he was so nice and so helpful with so much akhlaq and adab - something that is hard to find there amongst the regular guards.

So we get to the 4th floor of the Hilton hotels and into Sh. Sudais's charity. The brother who sits at the reception could speak a little English so it was helpful. They took me inside, gave me coffee and sat me down. Had a lot of random important looking people there who were really nice and were surprised that a person from so far wanted to meet Sh. Sudais. They said that he doesn't come there often but if I were to go to Umm Al Qura university the next morning, I can meet him as he is the head of a department there. I said Jazakallah khayr and I left.

The next morning, around 10am, I got a taxi and I asked him to take me to Umm Al Qura in Abideeyah - not a lot of people know this place but it's the new campus of the university. He advised me to speak only English as if you spoke Arabic, they won't let you in. But if you speak English, they're like omg you're from the UK or US and they let you through. So Alhamdullilah, I got myself all the way into the university and into Sh. Sudais's building. So i started asking random students for help, and i met a brother who can speak a bit of English. He took me to Sh. Sudais's office and intro'd me there. Sh. Sudais was not there! If you want to meet him, he comes there every Saturday 10am - 2pm and will meet people at his office in the Uni. But they were really nice again and helped me. They told me to go to his house and Masjid and try to meet him there. I said ok, and I asked the brother who was helping me to take me to Sh. Shuraim's office.

Sh. Shuraim is also the head of another department, the university of Qadaa a few minutes away from Sh. Sudais's building. The brother takes me there and into his office. It just so happened that, 5 minutes before I arrived there, Sh. Shuraim went to a meeting with some of the higher officials of the Uni other side of the campus and would not be returning for the rest of the day. However, they told me to come back the next day as he is there everyday morning to the evening except weekends. Unfortunetly, I was leaving for Madinah that night and when I returned it would be the weekend :( However, the brother said he would pass my salams on to Imam Shuraim.

I then decided to head out to Sh. Sudais's masjid and home to catch him if he's there. Prayed Dhuhr there and met his brother who directed me towards his (Bengali) housekeeper. He helped me out and was like Sh. Sudais is actually in Dubai for a conference and he doesn't tell anyone at all when he comes and when he leaves.

So Qadr Allah, I couldn't meet them but the info is really helpful. iA next time.

Another thing was that the Imams enter from Bab Ismail (i think it was) after exiting from the Palace. I spoke to a guard after Isha and said I wanted to speak to the Imams and whether he can let me in. He was like, yes, come 15 minutes before Adhan and speak to the guard. However, it seems like every time before the salah, the guards arent the nicest ones, only at other times lol. Khayr, I did get to say salam to Sh. Saleh and Sh. Maher from distance and they did reply looking at me :D

As for Madinah, Sh. Muhsin led the entire time except once at Dhuhr (my first one there) where Sh. Salah led. There, you can enter the room where the Imams come from because that is where they have the Janazah prayers. I got in a few times but didn't get to meet Sh. Muhsin as he'd exit ASAPP after Janazah and the guards would be like, Imam has left! :( Khayr iA.

That was really it. Other than that, this info should be helpful iA. Best way to meet the Makkah Imams is to go to the University where they teach, not after/before Salah as too many people, too much rush, too many guards.

Masha Allah! JazakAllah khair for sharing that bro.

One trick to meet the Makkah imaams is to quickly go and stand at the top of the stairs from where they are exiting the Mataf area. At that point the guards will not be in-line with the shaikh because of the stairs and you can briefly shake the imaam's hand.

For Masjid Nabawi's imaams, you can follow them to the parking lot and meet them before they enter their car. Or you can stand just outside that Janazah room immediately after the prayer and meet them when they come out.

I think it is Bab Ajyad because it is directly in front of the palace gate.

MashaAllah, it was nice to read. InshaAllah you will get a better chance next time.

Yes! That's a good idea! I did not think of standing on the top of the stairs. It was so crowded when I went, it would take me forever to get from one place to another.

Wow, I thought the Madinah Imams exit through the door on the right inside the Janazah room and go to their cars from there! I had no idea they would exit from the main exit. Where exactly do they park their cars?

Where exactly do they park their cars?

The parking lot is underground on 3 sides of Masjid Nabawi, as far as I know. The entrances are the same ones as the bathroom entrances. Just go to the 2nd or 4th floor underground and you will see the parking lot exits on both sides. The imaams parking will be usually on far left side towards the Qiblah near Jannatul Baqi.

But the best place to meet them is in their office at the University. You can actually sit with them and have a chat.

There's not only Shaikhain Sudais and Shuraim, but you can meet almost all of them there:
Shaikh Abdullah Juhany
Shaikh Maher Mu'aiqaly
Shaikh Faisal Al-Ghazzawi
Shaikh Khalid Al-Ghamdi

I went to the parking lot but it was huge! I had no idea where to go!

Bro, I wish I knew! I didn't think :( Khayr iA!

And did I read that correctly?! Sh. Juhany, Faisal, and Khalid are in department of Dawah and Usul ad-Deen but specifically in the section of Qira'at?! Oh my God, I can speak to them for hours on this! I need to go and sit with them next time. I wonder if you can ask to recite Qur'an to them and if they'll listen.

And do they reply to their emails?

Jazakallah For The For The Links Above And It Was Nice Reading Your Journey Earlier Today But Inshallah Next Time You Will Be Able To Meet The Imams As You Now Have More Information. In Madinah I Remember Sheikh Hudhayfee Goes Through The Car Park On The Left Hand Side 'When Facing Qibla' And Leaving The Front Door, He Goes To The Left And Exits Through There. Ask That Sheikh Abdullah And Inshallah He May Be Able To Tell You When The Best Time To Meet The Madinah Imams Is.

Do the Imams get to go inside the Kaaba? And if one were to get a hookup from them, can they get inside the Kaaba as well? And when is the door usually opened?
