Kem cho?

Which means how are things right?

(my friend is 1/2 Guj. so I can speak a few words:p)
:sl:

just add che and your speaking surti guji
or add cho and your speaking buruchi

see so easy :okay:

:sl:

 and the thing is when it comes to words with Z for example zakariyya its jakariyya. like so weird

Tell them to read the qur'aan and it gets problematic.
jaalika................instead of dhaalika and then some. ;)

And in the arabic alphabet there's like three or four 'ja' sounding letters.

.........and is it seen or sheen? Can't tell ;)

:haha: @ amani's post ! :p

myy cuzin bro 'yousuf' gets called 'eesup'(EDIT :after checking it IS eesup;D)

and if they practice Quran they can get neear enough to the real pronounciation..........:)

I hate that, they have that in bengali too, becaues the letter zed isn't in the bengali alphabet.

My name begins with a zed and it just sounds bad when it's pronounced with a "j" :grumbling .

And I have Gujju friends and all I learned from them is kem cho so far.

LoL ! crackup conversation ;D

I've made it clear to my mother that when we go to india, before i say "YES" to marrying a girl,...i will put her to the VOCAB TEST ;D

IF she cant say the Letter Z,..i aint marrying her!

I dont want to be called "JUBAIR" my entire life :rollseyes

And since i plan on naming my son hamZa,...i dont want the poor lil bloke to be called hamJa by his mother,...he'd hate me for marrying her..looooooll ;D

muhammed is muhmud
fatima is fattay or patma
