حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن سماك عن قبيصة بن هلب عن أبيه قال : رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم واضعا يمينه على شماله في الصلاة.

أخرجه ابن أبي شيبه ورجاله ثقاة

Wakee' informed me, From Sufyaan, From Sammak, From Qubaysah bin Halb, From his father who said: "I saw the Prophet peace be upon him placing his Right hand over his left hand in Salaat"

It was reported by Ibn Abi Shaybah and its men are Trustworthy

Muhammad bin Mahboob informed me, that Hafs bin Ghiyaath informed him, From Abdurrahmaan bin Ishaaq, From Ziyaad bin Zayd, From Abi Juhayfah, That Ali May Allah be pleased with him said :
" It is from the sunnah to place one palm over the other palm in Salaat, beneath the navel "

These two dudes in college were speaking Arabic...and they kept going "Ya'ni".
And also in some audio lectures...the guy would sometimes go "Ya'ni"...

My question ---> What does it mean??? :heated:

oh we use that aswell but am not sure if it has the same meaning in arabic....i sometimes hear shaykhs saying 'Ya'ni' and forgive me if am wrong but I think they use it for clarification...:X to make sumthin clearer to the listener

yh saheeh sis, it literally means 'he means' so it's wrong to use it for yourself linguistically the afsa7 (purer, classical) way would be to say 'a3nee' i mean...

but yh ya3nee is way more common...

^ If translated word to word it would mean : May Allah make your teeth laugh. But it would probably mean, May Allah give you laughter

i heard the prophet saws whenever he would see one of his beautiful sahabi's smiling he would say

"may your teeth forever remain exposed"


subhanAllah so i say it 2 u


"may your teeth forever remain exposed" its soooo beautiful, our beloved nabi saws

And, 'little Safiyah' is it Safiyyatu saghîrah or Safiyyatus-saghîrah?
