Its telling someone they shall come to know, future tense is right, in this surah its referring to the grave and the return to our lord

imam anwar al-awlaki said that IQRA was a command during the time of rasullulah saws to not only read and understand the quran but also to gain knowledge. THAT ONE WORD, made it seem so mandatory! SubhanAllah, the blessings of knowledge could be islam and if thats the blessing then its jannah and subhanAllah, all because of IQRA!... well thats wat i was getting at lol,
